(2/2) Final Fantasy VII’s Midgar section nails it, and I was happy that the Remake Midgar didn’t lose that palette. There is one other aesthetic in gaming I might like just as much, but I’ll save that for another day…

(1/2) I’ve realized that this is probably my favorite palette in gaming. Particularly when it has lots of teal contrasted with amber—like the glow of warm nighttime city lights. But if it leans into bright, neon cyberpunk aesthetic with bright blues and pinks, that’s cool as well.
