i only just figured out last night why my vr headset wasn't working on linux. my rx 6600 has an hdmi 2.1 slot. i ordered an hdmi to displayport adapter for like $8 last night so hopefully i can finally get it set up.

lost my minecraft hardcore world i started a couple days ago because mojang in their infinite wisdom decided that you shouldn't be able to block attacks with the shield until a full second has passed. it's a shame, i had an extremely good mining trip with over a full stack of diamonds.

i did not expect to get the speed completion achievement, i was just trying to 100% steel soul

Hollow Knight's Game Completion screen. Percentage is fading in, and shows 100%. In the bottom left, Steam's notification system is showing two achievements - Steel Heart: Achieve 100% game completion and finish the game in Steel Soul mode; Speed Completion: Achieve 100% game completion and finish the game in under 20 hours

trying to redesign the minecraft hud with support for a few mods (overflowing bars, appleskin, and the aether) because the original was never updated for the 1.14 texture update to my knowledge

welp, that's another reason to try and find some source of income. for whatever reason the oculus app doesn't natively support linux, so i kinda have to resort to looking for alternative vr headsets instead of just using my rift cv1. only issue is that the index is out of stock atm.

at first i thought this finally confirmed they were gonna remove the ubisoft connect requirement from uno (why can a unity-based card game forcefully install that anyways?) yeah, i'm not buying another game from them. i'm still waiting on that $9 they scammed out of me.

today on "i drew something for a possible game idea i had but i don't even know if i'll use it": these gui sprites

Border styles, left to right/top to bottom: Wood, Metal, Pipe, Hazard, Girders, Electricity.
Also contains health and defense icons. The shield is for armor protection (i.e. the 33%/50% protection values for Doom's armor) and the chestplate is for your armor points. Added some letters too, just because.

i got bored so i tried my best to make ctf in minecraft, featuring particle effects for when you're holding the flag. haven't yet attempted to refill the armor stands on the table once the flag's been captured.

A Minecraft version of Capture the Flag. On Blue, I go over to the Red side with the Red flag. Nothing happens. Then I go over to the Blue side with the Red flag, and capture it. I then grab the Blue flag and try that same process again, still on Blue. Finally, I switch to Red and capture the Blue flag.
