Then we can roam around parking lots in Warhammer outfits, challenging the Mormons to duels, and asking people, "have you heard the good word of our Lord and Savior, the Emperor of Mankind?"

Alright guys, hear me out. What if we started a Warhammer 40k church, and donations were used to buy books and minis and have reading and painting parties? All tax free.

According to Nathan Fillion, there is a "big announcement" with the cast of Firefly sometime today! Is it a reboot? Sequel? Prequel? No idea. Just have to wait and see.

I'm on episode 3 of the new One Piece live action season. And I have to say, this show is still impressive. I honestly didn't think it could be done, but Netflix continues to surprise me.

I really enjoy the lore, I started reading the books and listening to some lore podcasts. And I might buy some minis to paint one day. But I'm completely uninterested in the tabletop. Not sure why anyone should take issue with that.

Welcome! I'm on episode 102 right after the elves get resurrected. I really enjoy the various character arcs so it's hard to choose one. But probably Captain Yami and Vanessa are my faves. Favorite moment? The fight against Vetto was probably the standout for me so far.

Warhammer update: I finished the first 3 Horus Heresy books, first 2 Dark Imperium books, almost done with the Eisenhorn Omnibus, then I start Fall of Cadia. And it's been a blast. Looking forward to Total War 40k, and Adeptus Ridiculous is still my favorite podcast.

Games update: It's been a slow year tbh. I've been playing some Crusader Kings 3 and 7 Days to Die. But now I'm playing the new WoW expansion which is good so far. But I'm already itching for something cozy. Maybe a new Stardew Valley run, or I'll try out something new. Fields of Mistria maybe?

Currently, I'm making my way through Black Clover. It was a bit slow in the beginning, and Asta constantly yelling took some getting used to. But it grows into a really solid show after a few episodes.

Other animes I watched recently. Tsukimichi: Nothing groundbreaking, but a fun watch. Gachiakuta: The world is incredible, but the MC is eh. Berserk of Gluttony: It's alright, not sure if I'll be back. Classroom of the Elite: This shit is crazy, couldn't stop watching.

Anime update: I finally picked up Crunchyroll so I could see what this Solo Leveling hype was all about. I was not disappointed. I'm sure there are haters out there, but I thought it was fantastic. I watched a few other shows, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a slime was a fun ride.

Kpop update: Initially, I was following Aespa. But as time went by, I just kept scrolling through my playlist to Babymonster. Those girls are so talented it's crazy. So move aside Aespa (no hate) Baemon has been in my #1 spot since probably November!

Honestly? My intro to sci-fi literature was a couple Foundation books, and they were super boring. My first fantasy book was a Dragonlance Book, Covenant of the Forge. Which was a lot of fun. I read some sci-fi, but tons of fantasy. Wonder why.

How it started, July 5th, 2025: Found this Night Lords book at the used bookstore, might as well try it. How it's going, July: I've been listening to a 40k lore podcast and went to 4 bookstores and a Games Workshop for more books.

I'm personally of the opinion that if you spend 8 hours or more in the same position, it's probably bad for you. I think sitting at a desk is fine if you get up and walk around every so often. But 8+ hours on your feet can wear on you too.

It actually raises an interesting question. As of now, LLMs are training using human-created content. How long until the LLMs start training humans? When trying to make an AI think like a person flips to AIs training humans to think an AI.

I think Pacific Rim did alright. Mostly the Idris Elba character, the scientists running around trying to jack into a kaiju brain, and Ron Perlman's black market kaiju parts business.

You'd be surprised. The introduction of caffeine helped create 24-hour work programs in major industries. And increased productivity. Common workplace drinks shifted from alcohol to tea/coffee. Caffeine had major impacts on the Industrial Revolution.
