a lot of them, possibly all of them are. pfps and urls aren't changed, and posts/reposts older than 12 months are left untouched. if you search that phrase you'll find middle-aged men with their name in their url, fathers, furry artists with their art signed under a different name, etc etc

gofundme has seemingly long since closed and the page no longer exists. another post links a toyhouse with comments from a few months ago so i think they were still active somewhat recently

my9games thing presented chronologically rather than in order of favorites

1. kh1
embarrassing as it is to say, watching my brother play this when i was little really impressed upon me what video games could be like. tangentially related kh2 made me a furry

2. pmd explorers of time
upon revisiting this game in 9th grade i tried to build a team using self inserts of me and my friends as our favorite mons and fell into a bottomless well of mechanics that somehow all matter when you main zigzagoon. ff12 for therians

3. earthbound
honestly the biggest lasting impact this game had on me was cementing my love for temporary guest character mechanics, but it also made me significantly more irritating for about 6 years

4. sm64ds
this game is mid and not because of the d-pad. however, i have extremely fond memories of beating the shit out of my friends with wario

5. mm3d
oot's engine is always fun to exploit and this game gives you 5 characters to play around with in it. it's even good generally

6. kirby and the amazing mirror
love the map, love the co-op, love the artwork, love the sounds, love that they put 400 guys that fall on your head in every vertical area

7. kirby air ride
one time as a kid my parents brought us to bed bath & beyond to pick out beds and i wanted a chance to try city trial so bad that i manifested a gamecube setup with kirby air ride in it

8. etrian odyssey
what if rpgs were good and also had battle music that you actually wanted to listen to 5000 times

9. deltarune
they lifted the experience of hunting for obscure dialogue in earthbound and managed to turn it into a storytelling technique...
also since chapter 5 released in the time it took me to finish this i have since determined that toby fox is writing a story where every major plot point somehow is a very direct reference to an incredibly niche common element of jrpg systems and storytelling that seemingly only i care about. it's honestly a little unsettling
