Working on White Speaker’s 4 NMM blades. I use raw umber as a base colour and mostly paint reflections from surrounding objects. Nothing is attached yet, so I might have to adjust a few things once everything’s in place. #miniaturepainting

Thank you very much! It was painted for a competition with "Elements" theme. While centred around fire, the volcano also represents earth, lava - water, and lightning - air. I had the erupting volcano idea early on and chose that model for the shape of its crown that aligned with volcano's shape.

I was experimenting with some NMM gold combinations, and discovered that yellow green, cadmium orange and burnt umber make a nice gold mix. This is the result! #miniaturepainting

Thank you! That sounds like a fun project. I don't have an airbrush so I know next to nothing about that, but I hope you have a good time and it goes well.

Thank you so much! Besides the hours spent on researching moths and practicing brushwork, the painting of the wings took about 30 hours.

Well I certainly hope you won't, as I hoped to inspire, not discourage. Part of my daily routine is to draw, paint or obtain new knowledge. I also do my own research into colours and various techniques. Keep learning, be intentional about what or how you paint and you will get where you want to be.
