"Trickle-down" has never worked. To make it work, you have to implement it. Implementation involves much higher taxes on large fortunes, high incomes, and large inheritances. Without enforcement, the rich will grab everything they can for themselves, i.e. they will implement “stream-up” instead.

I suggest the 10th boundary is the sustainable size of the economy and our economic growth has gone through that boundary as well already, driving the whole global system across the other boundaries as well. Its the economy, stupid. www.scientificamerican.com/article/9-bo...

Suberic acid with salol, crystallizing from the melt, #4: another phase transition starts when the material cools down further. The striped pattern that resulted from twinning is replaced by grains of a new lattice structure that gradually takes over (it started in #3 in the right lower corner).
Crystals of a mixture of suberic acid and salol, crystallizing from the melt on a heating table, seen through a microscope with polarization filters. Stage 4. Image Svend Keller, 1980s. As the material cools down further, another phase transition (already beginning in the previous image) occurs. This time, it does not happen instantaneously, but areas with the new crystal structure grow, destroying more and more of the striped pattern of the previous stage.

Suberic acid with salol, crystallizing from the melt, #3: further cooling leads to a phase transition. A lattice transformation changes angles of the crystalls, but they have no room to shift. The resulting tensions causes them to adapt shape by forming a zigzag pattern, a process called "twinning".

Dagegen hilft etwas anderes.
