I need clarity. AP is reporting that Mexico has begun sending national guard to the border in response to deal made with Trump. But I thought this deal was with Biden and they were already there. Can anybody clear this up for me?

People with gov’t expertise - does the president have the power to nullify a law duly passed by Congress and signed into law by an Executive Order? Or is he able to withhold funding for that law? That seems like an overstep of law to me.

Holding the inauguration indoors means the numbers will not matter. The small crowd will be explained away and Trump doesn’t have to see how many are not supporting him. Don’t suppose the thought of that when he moved inside right?

I am enjoying BlueSky and reading all of your comments. I fear that we are all preaching to the choir though. How do we reach those who are fooled by the right? I know the cult MAGAs are a lost cause. But there are others - the vast majority I think - who are poorly educated and out of touch.
