There was a TV series called Ultraviolet (it's on youtube) that leaned into this idea perhaps a bit too heavily. Can't be videoed, voice can't be recorded, fingerprints can't be taken and even their DNA couldn't be seen under a microscope.

Showers should have preset buttons like car seats tbh, I don't need all the adjustment options right there just let me set it for what I want then reset to that after someone else uses it. Or a summer/winter setting.

Similar sort of position, not cancelled anything yet but shocking the number of sites that let you sign up to things without confirming the email is valid. Although I did contact one US energy company who seemed very blasé about it all until I pointed out I could cancel their payment plan.

For my sins I still do occasionally pirate. Games I physically own, but you can't get online. Games I don't own that you can't even buy new physically/digitally. I'll buy the Silent Hill remaster, but I'm not paying £80+ for the OG PS1 off ebay. No one who made the game is seeing that £80

To quote Newell, "Piracy is not a pricing issue. It's a service issue". I don't think it's realistic to frame every pirate download as a lost sale. Steam/GOG have changed how I buy, for worse due to sales and one click buying. I've even bought stuff I own again, because I no longer have a drive.

Found this before and it's really frustrating, especially the people who tell you that you are some how doing it wrong. *Some* UK English dictionaries include US spellings, some don't. Depends on the app, and/or if the app uses the OS dictionary. No consistent way to force it across everything. :(

I've got a weird soft spot for an (in)famous terrible game, Limbo of the Lost, that rightly got pulled from sale due to heavy amounts of copyright infringement. Now developers can just stick an AI disclosure on the game and thats... ok? So many demos, at least it's helping me filter what I play.

Restrictions that I suspect will just expand with time as people realise there are some modern things you can't really do without. At least not without having a second "full" phone. Expect some sort of 2FA app would be the first thing. Do people really want to go back to a T9 keypad?

Growing up we did a couple of holidays using a trailer tent, which is basically the same thing except on a trailer rather than on top of your car. Wonder if the car would rock as much as the trailer did when people are moving about.

Suspect that it's sort of the other way round, coffee shops are setup to make double shots (grind, dosage, etc) as standard so if you order a single they'll still make a double and unless someone else is also ordering a single at that point they are tipped the unused single away.
