Installed Debian on the Win7 tower (Athlon II X4 640, 4GB DDR2, GTX 1050) today after many recommendations. It's playing back multiple IPTV streams at the same time without issues, but Gnome was the default DE and it's going to be a problem* so now I have to figure out how to change that *no […]

I should probably put some form of Linux on my Win7 era tower for this kind of thing

Would also have to figure out something else to handle playing the stream/outputting to the HDM69s, already have 4 displays coming out of my main PC

Still need to go through most of the XMLs by hand to check for hard coded strings, so hopefully I can cut that list down some

Can you watch an old recording while making a new recording on a PSX at the same time? Yes! Currently watching yesterday's broadcast while today's is recording. Once it's over, I get to see if I can start watching today's before it finishes recording

I could simply change the broadcast schedule or watch the show directly, but that wouldn't be any fun

Hell yeah (2.11 shouldn't be running on a DESR-5100, but custom DVRP firmware got it working)

The stuff happening with PSX is way more exciting to me than "jailbreaking" a PS5 TBH. Definitely not updating it, but not sure what I'd install or even where to begin to look for such things after the "jailbreak" is set up
