4 years ago in Sep the Board of Regents approved my tenure and rank of full professor ! What an honor it still is, and to be the first Muslim woman at my institution with tenure and at full professor rank. And that this is a historically Christian institution is not lost on me.

To me this is where pluralism lives. In those deep spaces. What’s stopping us from getting there?

I ❤️ this from one of my participants. I’ve spent 3 days co facilitating five sessions for Interfaith America Leadership Summit. We had abt 30 universities represented in the room Faculty, staff and administrators This to me is the central question, how do we get to deep difference, deep divisions?

Why reading still matters. Having edited a whole book on interreligious empathy, a reminder to me as well that fiction also plays a role in addition to religious literacy through traditional means of religious texts, analysis and scripture. #interfaitb

Born during the pandemic as an elegy of communal loss, Najeeba Syeed's "Dreaming Lost Bodies Back" expands to embrace losses of war and hunger across our globe. Poetry that names grief honestly while honoring how ancestral lineages bear fruit of hope and resilience.
