Texas’s total abortion ban is associated with an increase in bleeding related severe morbidity among people experiencing pregnancy loss. My coauthors and I analyzed data from all hospitals in Texas from 2017-2023. Read more here: doi.org/10.2105/AJPH...

New pub with the amazing Dr. Whitney Arey! Our mixed methods analysis of how Mississippians payed for abortion care found that only 1 in 13 had the funds available to pay out-of-pocket costs. Many got help from abortion funds, asked family & friends, delayed routine expenses, or sold something.
