I also expect that of people. Out difference in opinion is that I believe voting democrat is one of the least impactful ways you can improve society. Does it help? Sometimes, maybe rarely. Volunteering, donating, mutual aid, and protest all have more positive societal impact than one vote.

IMO, project 2025 would have been project 2029 even if Harris had won. I don’t think she would have done anything to stop it. Things would not be as bad if she were pres, yes, but they wouldn’t be getting better. They haven’t been for a long time. Republicans sold us out and Dems let them.

Having Cheney on stage was a symptom, not the cause. It proved Kamala was ideologically similar enough to Cheney that they both felt comfortable setting minor differences aside to cater to conservative voters. For those of us who know Cheney as a horrible person, this revealed a lot about Kamala.

In the meantime, Mamdani deserves criticism for his continued support of the NYPD and his decision to keep the current commissioner. Not true. His visit secured the release of a Columbia student who was kidnapped by ICE. As far as the 21 billion of federal grants in housing, those things move more slowly, but Trump “appeared enthusiastic”. If this enthusiasm converts into a victory, clearly it was worth it, but time will tell.
