Many years ago I saw a random climber I'd never heard of. I fell in love with it and it's massive now, but how gorgeous are the flowers? It's a Fremontodendron, not something I'd ever seen in Wales before! Lasts all spring, summer, and autumn.

Louis Theroux turning up to what was essentially his own roast on SNL UK on Saturday was the best thing I've seen in years. Just when you think you couldn't love the man more, he goes and does that. Well worth a watch if you haven't seen it! What a legend.

Wet day out with my favourite boys. Only I could choose a day for an MOT when it legit HAILS after weeks of dry, sunny weather. (The traffic was stationary when I took this, you really need two hands to drive a Cat 🤣).

The road is wet, and traffic was at a standstill. The gap is because I was under a motorway bridge, cowering from the rain l. You can see the front of the Caterham and the top of thr windscreen, and the silly teeny tiny wiper blades!

Monday was tough. It was 13 years since we adopted our first ever doggo, Arnie, who we lost last year at the grand old age of 17(ish). In his memory, our gorgeous new rescue boy had a flame grilled steak. Arnie had one every time we had a BBQ, and I think he would approve. Miss you buddy.

My absolute favourite Prunus has flowered! I could easily sit here all day and admire the blossoms. The wall is what we call the old "chapel", a bit of a ruin but with 4 walls and arch shaped windows. It could have been used by drovers to give thanks during a journey. Old houses are awesome.

Our local hospital proving solar can be done both well and efficiently. Cars have shade, the hospital has power. Everybody wins. Would love to see more car parks and commercial buildings adopt this.

Wednesday is chicken day, and doesn't he know it! The abuse of having to wait 15 minutes for it to cool is just too much to handle.

We have fancy daffodils in the garden, but this patch has been in the orchard for at least 15 years. They WERE normal, wild daffodils but seem to have mutated over the years to this. They're definitely my favourites! I wonder if it's a new species?

Soutzoukakia Smyrneika - Sadly I can't share the recipe for this one or my ancestors will haunt me, but my grandmother brought this one with her from Smyrna, 1922. (Best not look up what happened, it'll only depress you). They were as yummy as ever, but they take an age!

Two steaming bowls of Soutzoukakia Smyrneika, a Greek meatball in a rich tomato sauce. These are chicken, but traditionally I'd use pork. There are two bowls on an olive wood cutting board next to the oven. One is on a bed of chips (fries), and the other is half rice, half chips and has all the black olives because I only eat green ones 😅

Eep! Mother liked the sound of our dinner so much she's requested the same (and dad will eat anything). Never been so nervous! Hopefully the Cordon Bleu genes got passed down 🤞
