I actually got my uber conservative mother to vote for a democrat for the first time in her life. I cannot believe it. She actually voted for the democratic governor running and not the republican. For her 80 year old boomer self that's always voted (R), that's honestly a huge accomplishment.

I redid my power tower wiring today after doing a lot of back and forth with the volt meter. I definitely reduced the voltage loss/resistance along the circuit and have both batteries working together. Feels a lot better. Still not happy with the MarsRock 1400, but making progress.

Just a note for those who don’t understand encryption. The safety of such comes from the difficulty in factoring large numbers made from multiplying two prime numbers together. AI is not going to magically make this process faster or easier. It’s simply an impossible task.

Big kitty is upset/sad because her little brother is at the vet all day getting his nuts removed. She’s been acting overly concerned and snugglely. Wish I could tell her it’s going to be okay and we pick him back up at 3pm. lol She has managed to puke her food up and yowl a bit at me. Poor babies!

So again I have to mention, yes I do use AI assisted development, but I am very anal retentive about what it spits out. It is not uncommon for me to yell at the AI and call it names as it messes up, and I review *EVERY* *SINGLE* *LINE* it writes, typically with a variety of grilling questions.

So after chatting with Sunlit I think the best way to do the save-journaling invocation is both reset as well as ALT3+STOP (instead of ALT3+MERGE). This would be particularly really great because we can retain GSU termination semantics while QSPI is being written out to.

I always try to be careful around the retro gaming community but I have inadvertently caused some hiccups in places that I've gone into and asked to do special things for (especially in regards to hard copies for mod projects). I understand fallouts happen, strong personalities can clash, etc...

So I had a really good chat with both Sunlit (ultrastarfox1/2 & FX3 conversions) & Randy Linden (DOOM FX3) last night about FX3. Lots of great information shared and I am feeling really motivated about the future direction of FOSS FX3. We're all really hoping that we can deliver to ya'll the best!

Well PCBWay got back in touch with me and they said that these pads are too close together. These are for the 8-way resistor networks that we use on all our boards. Apparently, despite being fine with them before, they are freaking out that it may not produce correctly.

Just spent 100$ on #SNES #FX3 prototype components and getting ready for another 30$ for PCBs. Wish me luck! This was one hell of a board to do, but I am pretty sure I got it nailed down for a first prototype.

Got my solar cable wrapped up in protective 103 rubber wrapping. It’s supposed to melt a bit as it dries from being stretched a bit and then makes a waterproof sealant layer. Tomorrow it’s going to rain a bit - perfect for doing some light trenching to get this part in the ground and finished.

ALRIGHT! Randy Bobandy, the main man, got back to me and now I know what those 3-8 decoders were doing: essentially, they are likely used to determine if SRAM is being accessed. That means there is one single tiny line going out from that mess to pico that I must have missed. Makes sense at least!

So I spent most of the afternoon trying to figure out what the two 3-8 decoders are doing on the DOOM FX3 board and… They are doing address decoding… But their outputs? DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Pretty sure at this point they aren’t used for anything. Probably vestigial components from earlier.

So I believe I have a way forward with FX3 boards: we won't package the ROM onto the hardware we sell, we're going to have users program their legally obtained ROMs themselves. All they would need to do is connect a USB-C cable to it, drop their patched legal ROM onto the folder that opens, viola!

Well, it’s not that bad a design! It works. Got them set to 38 degrees for maximum annular sunlight so I won’t need to move them too much. I’ll probably hammer in some stakes behind the blocks when I get to it, but I’m just going to let it go for now to get the sag out of the wires.

I think ya’ll should get an eBike and some solar panels. Because it’s about to get real going into this next year! Also, make sure to start learning how to fly and repair drones. They have some really great simulation software you can hook up real controllers to. Civil War 2.0 Electric Boogaloo!

In #retrogaming news, I have managed to design and fabricate a 3D printed adapter that adapts the Philmore PT28 to the same standard as the original potentiometers (which are completely unobtanium) for these #Atari #Paddle #Controllers. Despite the longer actuator neck, it works perfectly!

So just so I can say it: Am I pro-AI or anti-AI? I am anti-billionaire. For sure, absolutely without a shadow of doubt. I believe we need to wrestle everything we can from the hands of the billionaire scumbags destroying our communities. I also believe that AI assisted coding is the future.

So we have a lot of cables outside our house because over 25 years of my parents living here they have changed through multiple satellite providers. While I was setting up my solar stuff, I was cleaning up what I thought was old cord. OOPS. Cut my mom's satellite TV coax cable. Fixed it today tho!
