@NAACPBucks is disturbed by recent reports of racist and antisemitic vandalism discovered in Yardley. A swastika is not “just vandalism.” A racial slur is not “just a word.” Threats against a place of worship are not “just words.” We refuse to allow hate to become normalized. HATE HAS NO PLACE

Did you know that as today, PA’s statewide minimum wage is $7.25 per hour? That is the same as the federal minimum wage, and Pennsylvania has not increased its statewide rate since 2009. There have been serious efforts to raise it in 2026, but no increase has become law yet. #Raisetheminimumwage

Although a long-standing legal settlement generally limits the time children can be held in detention to 20 days, a data analysis by ProPublica found that about 300 kids sent to Dilley by the Trump administration were there for more than a month.

The honor of lying in state or in honor has previously been extended to distinguished civilians such as Rosa Parks, Rev. Billy Graham, and Congressman John Lewis—leaders whose moral courage shaped our nation. Jackson's lifelong commitment to justice and democracy merits the same national recognition

Civil rights work requires us to listen when communities tell us something is harmful. Native people are not mascots. They are sovereign nations, living cultures, and vibrant communities whose histories deserve respect — not appropriation. The NAACP Bucks County stands in solidarity.

Read our statement in response to Sheriff Danny Ceisler’s Announcement- "Ending 287(g) is a necessary step—but it is not sufficient on its own. Public safety is built on trust, dignity, and equal protection under the law, not on policies that place entire communities under suspicion." - Pres. King

Our communities are still at risk. We stood united with our partners and community, raising our voices against 287(g) and the deputizing of our Sheriff’s Office to coordinate and act alongside ICE in our county. We showed up because silence is not an option when our communities are at risk.

We stand in strong opposition to the 287(g) agreement — a policy that endangers immigrant communities & fuels racial profiling. It turns local law enforcement into an extension of ICE, eroding trust and safety. Let’s protect our neighbors, not criminalize them. #Stop287g #SolidarityNotSurveillance
