No no no. It was a proper screening of the film at the local arthouse theater in San Luis Obispo, as part of the University's curriculum for a Film Studies class there, and the general reaction from all of us in the audience EVOKED Joel from MST3k saying "Ohhhh wowwww..." Such a good experience.

As of this week, I am now older than the age the actor John Mahoney was when the character he played in the sitcom "Frasier" said he was 64 years old. It feels like there should be ways I should feel about this.

OK, DAYum! The craft is extraordinary in itself, but how are you doing the leaf texture on the fabric? I wanna assume there's a patterned roller assist, but I'm seeing no artifacts of its use. It's so hard to imagine the fronds being sculpted separately and then applied, given how clean the join is.

My proposal is that the date to acceptably display exterior Halloween decorations is keyed to the first day that major theme parks open their Haunt Attraction events to the public. So: September 3, this year, as dictated by when Halloween Horror Nights kicks off at Universal Studios in Orlando.

A courier the office dispatched to pick up my drawings from my apartment recently was this Mr. Cooper-looking guy with a white moustache who was clearly in his mid-70s. He thanked me for bringing down the roll of plans to my apartment complex's entry door so he didn't have to go up the stairs.

I had an Oh Hell Yes moment at Encounter right when the elevator doors closed and we ascended to the sound of Space UltraLounge music. The first time I went, the waitresses were wearing futuristic outfits, but when I went back later another time with other friends, they had abandoned them. Tragic.

Just back from the roadshow screening of @josephscrimshaw.bsky.social's "Dead Media," a zero-budget indie charmer that's made for a Movie Night with your friends in order to inspire you to make a film together. Pairs well with "The Video Dead" (1986) or "The Final Girls" (2015). #DeadMedia
