MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 01/10/2026This is a very concerning development. Hegseth has also appointed Musk to the military! 000
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 27/07/2026Do they have a new comms team though? If this coup was a year in the plotting as it has been stated then part of that plotting would be to drag their feet and be complicit with the media suppressing policy info - looking at Lisa Nandy who suddenly thinks the BBC board now needs looking at! 001
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 20/07/2026He's brought it on himself. What did you really expect after the awful shenanigans over the past few weeks? Plus the year long plotting against Sir Keir Starmer. Exposed by the likes of boasting Karl Turner & others in media interviews. It's not a good look. 000
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 20/07/2026The party membership rejected him as leader twice. I wonder why. 000
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 20/07/2026It doesn't give me hope. Him & his coup plotters have got off on a negative foot by the way they ousted Starmer. Now it looks like they've persuaded him to speak today to try & smooth their path from the well deserved backlash they're receiving from party members resigning & angry voters. 000
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 19/07/2026Mmh interesting read and I agreed with many points. I also didn't like Burnham's speech specifically because it was harking back to the 80's & old Labour. I found it regressive. We're in 2026. During the Makerfield by-election Burnham mentioned trickle down & re-industrialisation. He's out of touch. 010
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 14/07/2026People voted for the Labour party led by Starmer. I know I did, so did other people. We all know the PM isn't elected. But leader matters to voters & will influence how they vote. Otherwise why change leaders if it's just about the party? 110
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 14/07/2026Let's drop this northern schtick. It should be the whole of the UK! 000
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 14/07/2026A Labour government led by Starmer who's the PM. I didn't see any other leader of the party who won a landslide general election. 120
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 14/07/2026It's Sir Keir Starmer government who delivered the promise to Hillsborough families not Burnham. 210
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 14/07/2026Everyone he now owes a favour to. Oh & the unions. He'll be a weak PM 010
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 11/07/2026I have a Sony system similar in size but mine has a tape & mini disk slots as well as CD and a matching record turn table 😊 000
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 11/07/2026You mean like this? Starmer's govt policy? www.gov.uk/government/p...gov.ukTax update 2026: simplification, modernisation and fairness summary 000
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 11/07/2026Mmh, funny this is a policy under.. Starmer's govt 🤔 www.gov.uk/government/p...gov.ukTax update 2026: simplification, modernisation and fairness summary 000
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 07/07/2026It's been obvious for bloody years! Funny only now our media are 'noticing' & holding the wretch to account. We have to lose a decent PM before they get their finger out! My question is why now?🤔 000
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 29/06/2026There was. The General Election won in July 2024 under the leadership of Kier Starmer 100
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 29/06/2026😂 A bit hypocritical when you look at how he got where he is with the party members shafted on a leadership vote! Then you have the curious case of why no one out of 403 MP's have the guts to challenge Burnham's coronation. 🤔 020
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 29/06/2026I'm cross referencing the 2024 general election manifesto with whatever Burnham announces 😉 110
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 29/06/2026The BBC and all our media love to manufacture drama. The filming of Burnham's train last week is an example. 070
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 29/06/2026His usurper position makes taking questions essential! Starmer never dodged taking questions. A cowardly move 021
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 29/06/2026I don't think this should be taking up any political energy at this point in time. The PM is historically based at Downing Street in the capital city. I don't like all this talk of north & south. It's divisive & like 90's politics. Some civil service depts were already devolved a few yrs ago. 120
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 29/06/2026It wasn't clean though. Was it? This coup was in planning for at least a year & the stain of their treachery against a sitting Labour PM will linger. History will be kinder to Starmer. 010
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 29/06/2026Reed just speaks for the PLP and the plotters. He doesn't speak for party members ( as we've not had a vote for a new leader!) or the electorate. Burnham is just being installed with no scrutiny. He doesn't even want to answer questions from the media so the public can hear his response. 000
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 29/06/2026And the cost? Where is the money coming from because it doesn't look like it's some that can be done before the next general election? 000
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 29/06/2026Someone should tell Burnham Starmer's government was already planning regional devolution! 2248
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 29/06/2026Ripping off the current governments plans under Starmer www.gov.uk/government/p...gov.ukEnglish Devolution White Paper 111
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 23/06/2026He did no such thing! You obviously know FA about the UK and definitely nothing about Sir Keir Starmer. 000
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 23/06/2026The US! Shut up until you get rid of the pos you call the president! 000
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 23/06/2026I don't know where the "great communicator" came from. I've always thought he was mediocre politician. Not a great speaker. Someone like Darren Jones is 10 times better than Burnham. 010
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 22/06/2026Which bit did you actually disagree with? The insensitive timing of the image or the respectful posts from foreign leaders? 100
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 22/06/2026I'm sorry but what exactly did you expect? This was obvious. We all know how the system works but Reform, Farage and their billionaire funders don't care! They will hammer on about no mandate until there's a general election. Let's see how Burnham handles that relentless pressure. He can't avoid it 110
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 22/06/2026Burnham will be given the same grace he gave Starmer. None. 000
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 22/06/2026The deeply respectful posts from foreign leaders like Carney made me emotional. They worked with Starmer & valued his lead and diplomatic skills. Their comments should shame Starmer's critics and party colleagues. What has the party done? Burnham will be a poor substitute. 050
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 22/06/2026I hope you will refrain from beating up on Sir Keir Starmer tomorrow. It has been a very sad day for many people. He was a decent PM & didn't deserve this frankly nasty treatment both from the media & so called party colleagues. Foreign leaders have shown him far more respect than the UK. Shame on us 020
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 22/06/2026No. It would be a humiliation given how totally classless Burnham has behaved. He couldn't even postpone his MP photo for one day! He has to post it online on the day Starmer resigned rubbing it in his face. Foreign leaders have shown him far more respect than his own party & country. They shame us. 120
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 22/06/2026He is but I can't see it happening. I don't believe Burnham has the same level of integrity and duty. I can't see him offering Starmer anything. 021
MyrtleP @myrtlep.bsky.social · 22/06/2026I see the EU is now reassessing the July summit because Starmer's gone. Well done you bloody fools 000
