revisiting my old art notebook of "things to turn into spaceships" and decided to start with the centipede, but I can't pick which direction I should go... I could keep it sleek and futuristic/ very clean & post-modern, but I also love "living" spaceships, kinda eldritch/grotesque

Watching this series was an experience 😂 Every new season dropped, I was back to rewatching from the beginning. Joined for the music, hooked by dark plot reveals and cried more than a few times. A series I would recommend as one of my favourites, I just wish I could afford to get all the blu-ray's😞

I hate there's no way to turn it off by default. the setting isn't even there. you have to turn it off for every single language that you encounter a post has been auto-translated.... truly a steaming pile of shit >.>

not professional, but I just decide based on readability and suitably matching the vibe of the project. I got a nice font library bundle from a font designer and will go through them to see which of them fits the theme and then compare it against similar fonts from other designers until it 'clicks'

1 honestly. there are ton's of resources from artists, film-makers etc. composition is important but I don't think it has any relevance to "blender" that needs a software dedicated tutorial.

hehe, finally added some lore to 2 of my OC's already uploaded onto Art Fight, and when I'm no longer tired, hungry or almost blind I will try to add other characters and some connecting lore for them too. I miss spontaneous writing like this sometimes, but 400 words is far easier than 40'000 😅

hyper-scaler dumbassery at work. the large complexes are supposedly more "efficient and powerful" than a bunch of small ones, but hinges on providing for a "demand" that quite literally doesn't exist. and for some reason always just HAS to be built in paces that lack the water resources...

If I'm just modelling one with no specific use in mind. I guess a cylinder not quite a cone, give it plenty of subdiv and twist for a nice curve shape then pop over into sculpting to pull out the branches and roots. some decimate and retopo at the end before poking at the form to be more "natural"🤔

as someone who wanted to get a custom BJD ordered and even considered 3D modelling some BJD OCs (ended up waiting for someone who said they would make a base but never did v.v) the advice would be greatly appreciated. I think I currently only have my sona and maybe 1 OC that are doll-themed atm🤔

AI art labeller went the alternate route, volunteers seemingly got trigger happy on everything and ended up with the account, list and labeller all being erased because people couldn't trust it was accurate anymore. currently most seem to just curate their lists and experience as they encounter it.

few things are more unreliable than volunteer bias; like using GenAI & trusting it's not just going to halucinate false positives. suggesting to use anything LLM and GenAI related on artists and their posts is not going to be received positively. if the labeller died, best to just retire it.🤷
