"Comic editors once stated that Riverdale is not a real place. They explained it can be anywhere that good friends have fun."

Her waist is about as thick as her neck. Where'd all her intestines go??

You've heard of an exposition SCENE before. But how about an exposition SCREEN?!? 😆

Surprise kissing women? It's also MY thing. I am ALSO cool.

Between $50 and $150 per font. 1998 was tough for graphic designers.

I don't remember this... But that doesn't mean it didn't happen.

If my wife was stronger than me? Well... I'd rather be dead.

I'm glad Valkyrie said something! That's pretty advanced for the 70s!

Talk about an exposition heavy panel!

Guardians of the Galaxy looked a lot like ST:TOS originally...

I just watched a Knight Rider episode where a woman in a troubled marriage is engaged in adultery and she's not the villain or shamed for what she did,ll. And there's actually a reconsolidation with her partner at the end. That's pretty darn progressive for an 80s show!

As a Midwest person, I can't imagine seeing mountains at the edge of my subdivision

Can anyone identify any of these games?!?!

RetroMan @myretroroom.bsky.social · 16/06/2026

Ad on the back of a comic. First, why did everything in the 90s have to be EXTREME? Also, is there anyone else there, or just Liefeld? Finally, is this all this guy's personal contact info? Is this "ComicCon" just in this guy's backyard?

Did you know Danny Elfman did the theme for the 1990s TV show "The Flash"?

A little dig at Jim Lee....

It was a contemporary reference! Get it?!?

She-Hulk has a very pin-up pose/expression/face in this frame...

Byrne must've REALLY wanted to put this outfit in his book. It must've been a pain in the *** to draw!

You can shop at the Valiant store and get an XO manowar t-shirt. It's for young and hip women like this model. P.S. I've seen people walking around with these big headphones. Even still wearing them as they walk into stores and restaurants and travel in groups. Is this a new thing? Is this woman...

It's like the marketing team was designing this for a glossy magazine page and not a comic in pulp. The tiny white text is nearly unreadable. 'Whole thing looks bad.

It says her favorite game is Witchblade. There was no Witchblade game that I know of. I wonder who messed that up. Did she say that? Did the writer who made these things up for her mess that up? Did the ad people mess that up?
