Currently working on another OC (Because it's what I do most of the time, lol). I want to sort of increase the fidelity of my models, so I'm working on making higher resolution textures while staying in the realm of pixel art, and working for longer periods of time on adding more details. #OC #art

Happy new year @mudnblood.bsky.social! I just found out you're here on bsky, and saw Lady Élunia again, so I wanted to make a bit of a "Hi!" post. Also a good excuse to use my Élunia model, do some dithering and do a bit of filligree pixel art too („• ֊ •„) (I hope bsky doesn't destroy the details)

Mull's Lady Élunia, facing to the left (Her right), she wears plate over chainmail, has dark black hair, an emotionless expression, and blood drips from her nose.

The background consits of a night sky, and a dark field.

The piece is adorned with some filligree of leaves, hooded figures, and Lady Élunia's name, on top of a hollow sun. Finally the whole piece is pixelated, with dithering and a limited colour palette of cool colours.

Really depends on what you like, and when it comes to classics, it's much easier to get them cheap because a lot are completely abandoned and unobtainable, so if emulation bothers you, you can use the excuse of the publisher not giving you a way to play it! ヽ(￣ω￣(。。 )ゝ

It's actually kinda hard to recommend games to someone that doesn't play games much, I've had that issue with a friend that wanted to stream games... while not being big into games lol. I think your best bet is looking for slower games, like turn based RPGs, Portal is also really fun.

There are a couple of ways, atm I've resigned myself to doing all my dithering outside of Blender. But I'm waiting to see if a good dithering plugin that's currently in the works comes out. Sadly doing it manually means if I wanted to animate in that style, I'd have to dither it frame by frame lol.

It's always fun thinking about this kinda thing with characters that have... unconventional appendages. So far most of my OCs have normal limbs, but looking at stuff like this really makes me want to try and make some more interesting designs, I just wish it was easier to "sketch" in 3D ( ´ ▽ ` )

Starting out with Blender really is like hopping onto an airplane's cockpit for the first time lol. But once stuff starts to click in your head, it can get addicting, there's soooo much you can do with it, and then you can combine it with other artistic disciplines it's *chef's kiss* ⸜( *ˊᵕˋ* )⸝

I really think the one "tactic" that will never die is being nice and genuine, "networking". People can tell when you're being fake, and it's also just not fun to do so, imo. Don't stop creating, keep an open mind toward others' art, and socialize, go make friends and let yourself be made into one.

[1/3] Another one <3 This time it's Adri and David having a completely normal interaction. Despite being a world ending horror beyond comprehension Adri is not immune to having a 9 to 5... [ #art #comic #hollowridge ]

Oh man, I'll have to check this out, one of the biggest issues I have with Photoshop is how resource intensive it can be, so this might be a good way to fix that. On top of that, I'm still looking around to see if there's a way to do it in batches for animation frames (¯ . ¯ )ゞ・・・
