Very familiar, we used it for package signing at npm 😉 I'm particularly interested in signing local binaries to streamline keychain access. Specifically wrt CLI tools and credential management. I don't believe sigstore signatures are able to support this, but I could be mistaken.

I guess this helps for artifact provenance but not for system operations?

I've been REALLY enjoying it. The payoff at the end of season 6 was :chefkiss:

do these signatures allow for keychain access without using the identity of the Node.js binary?

The biggest concern I could see with this would be the added maintenance burden, although AI definitely lowers the bar on that. package installers are bug factories. I haven't kept up on where the project is with leveraging AI for authoring + review, but I can't see it work without it.

local inference is genuinely good now. what's missing is a control plane, so you're not manually juggling ports and shell scripts every time you want to swap models. I built Athanor to solve this problem. mylesborins.com/blog/local-i... github.com/MylesBorins/...

With how much faster software is moving, and the likelihood of a barrage of CVEs as frontier models continue to improve, I wonder if traditional LTS will continue to be relevant in the short to mid term.

Working with agents isn’t autopilot. It’s about building artifact stores that capture knowledge and patterns. Layers of context accumulate across repos. They form a network that helps agents and teams explore, iterate, and create. mylesborins.com/blog/context...

Remember the trove of media I acquired with lost GD footage from the '82 Jamaica music fest + much more? Good: 1300 tapes saved (link) We've a film deal with rolling stone for the lost documentary that was found about the fest! But I need more $ to get the final tapes archive.org/details/mark...

I honestly never had this issue with the yoto, both the small and big one worked fine on the network, maybe it's a router specific thing. Definitely has unreliability related to thing aggressively switching between bands.

Casually deciding to separate my 2.4 and 5 GHz networks into separate SSIDs in my overly connected home was a great way to waste half a day 🫠 Here's hoping I see better reliability in certain devices, especially matter over thread

Fwiw I don't feel bad about it at all. More noticing patterns that I'm trying to avoid while also trying to see how leaders end up falling into some of these classic tropes. Loving manager life and my team right now.

It feels like my time as a middle manager over relying on my unconscious bias from past experience is really setting me up for a career as an out of touch senior executive.

Update: the Seder ran for less than 15 minutes, it was chaos. The Rugrats episode did distract the kids long enough for the parents to eat

For tonight's Seder there are 4 toddlers at the table. The plan is to break up the Seder and watch the Rugrats passover episode (Season 3, episode 23) instead of telling the passover story. Will report back.
