No matter how good at art you get, even if you can draw realistically from imagination, your art will always look better if you use references, as you are observing directly from the thing itself rather than your memory of the thing.

Ya know, when I first saw the gen 10 starters, I thought Browt looked underdeveloped, like it needed more time in the oven, but over time it really grew on me and now it doesn't look as weird as it did at first. I still consider it the weakest design of the three, though. #pokemon #windsandwaves
