Join us for a Halloween & Cosplay Costume Swap on Sunday, Oct. 4 & Saturday, Oct. 17! Bring your gently used costumes, accessories, wigs, and props, and pick out something for your next cosplay or Halloween costume. Our Halloween & Cosplay Costume Swap events are open to all ages.

Big news: County shoppers are using way fewer single use plastic carryout bags thanks to the Bring Your Own Bag Law I led! In only seven months, Sierra Club data show people have ditched plastic bags for reusable bags or no bag, curbing litter and protecting our waterways!
Pie chart graphs depict Sierra Club survey data that plastics carryout bag usage declined 48.5 percent, reusable bags usage increased 9.5 percent, and no bag usage increased 13.3 percent since Councilmember Stewart’s Bring Your Own Bag Law went into effect seven months ago.

Let's talk about mulch! When spreading mulch, we recommend following the Rule of 3: 1. A ring of mulch, 3 inches deep 2. At least 3 feet wide around the tree 3. The ring should start about 3 inches from the trunk so the mulch doesn’t touch the stem
