discovered an apparent dearth of Chozen gifs, this requires immediate action... by someone else, i'm not that motivated [special sauce in the alt text 😏]
Chozen is an animated comedy about title character, "Chozen," a gay white rapper fresh out of prison. GIF shows Chozen performing in jeans, black cap, and black/purple letterman jacket over a white t-shirt, while two very buff bronze male dancers in brown bikini bottoms, and bear masks with railroad-striped engineer caps dancing ALL up on him, and two huge bottles of champagne on the screen behind them are shaken and appear to rain down onto the trio in literal drops of liquid. Chozen is an absolute gift of messy queerness and everyone should watch it. [pro tip: @elladarcy2273 has the one and only season, RIP, in a playlist on YouTube]

Book cover for "The Death of Vivek Oji," a novel by Akwaeke Emezi, the book appears to be lying on dark grey concrete. The cover has a grey background that matches the surface it's resting on. What appears to be a single thick braid of hair painted in broad strokes of reds, oranges, and pinks descends from the top of the book behind the bold white lettering of the title, the strokes of color expand up and out beyond the book onto the surface behind it. Forced perspective makes the viewer feel suspended, as if viewing the braid from above.

Elise Huther's - Crass elisehutherart.com "I believe that art can be a poignant, human experience that connects the artist, the piece, and the viewer in an intimate triangle." ~Elise Huther (Elise is a queer disabled artist I found years ago on fb, I love her work - this is a favorite of mine.)
Understated black ink outline drawing with some crosshatch shading, and tinted with top-to-bottom yellow-to-red ombre watercolor, of a figure shown from clavicle to calves, with wide hips and natural folds, arms wrapped around breasts and abdomen, in what feels like a protective pose. Accompanying handwritten text, also in black ink, surrounds the figure, stating: "People think me crass because I assign no moral value to, say, cuss words, or to nudity. Yet I get terribly angry at people who hurt people; at exploitation and injustice. I think it's profoundly telling, what people find profane."
