My thesis work has not been going super well lately as I only have two weeks to go to finish and it is not even close to being done. Worse, have not been able to seriously work on it all month so far, it's that bad... In better news, I've been cutting through my game backlog really well recently!

Haven't been super active for a bit, mainly been busy with thesis work and experiencing the incredible immersion and experiences games made by people can offer.

Picked up RE Requiem but I have yet to start it cause I've been waiting for a crop top shirt and tramp stamp mod for Leon. This is necessary for proper cannon continuity and an immersive experience.

This is basically Canon. Multiple times Elster can run into Replika and Gestalt alike, some on the verge of death, all willing to talk to you. And almost always without fail Elster doesn't say a word and stares at them like this.

It also appears that Gestalts are the ones who predominantly fight the war, despite combat replikas existing (SAPR and LSTR) as you rarely see any mention of them in official notes or propaganda. And Alina and Liliths own units and flashbacks dont show any indication of them being present either

Increased brightness and contrast to try and get a look, I haven't been able to see any of the telltale signs of Replikas in game models so far here. No large heights, large colour contrasts in limbs or breastplates, etc.

It goes beyond just story content; the tone, art direction and presentation are all absolutely phenomenal. The cutscenes are horrific yet stunning. Barraged by state propaganda, mechanical and electrical glitches, and the cries of help of your lover that you are fighting to save.

Lots has been said about Signalis. But for me even three years after it released it has remained with me in my heart. I feel especially lucky to have found it before its release, to have played it right as it released, and have gone through the experience knowing almost nothing about it. (Spoilers)

Finally put the time aside to beat the System Shock remake this month. An incredibly atmospheric and challenging experience. It really does take all of your focus at times to figure out the labyrinthine design of the station and dashing through the corridors low on ammo and health.

The final name drop for the remake of "System Shock". The letters appear on top of the buildings that make up the dense urban center, appearing as green lines reminiscent of those on computer components.

Her hair changes a lot through the game. Probably a large part in terms of development but one thing I've noticed is that she combs some over her eye after her eye injury before she meets Ariane which I think is incredible detail that's hard to spot in the moment.
