Either someone at Ecco is frantically fixing this, or they've invented a new short fiction format

One of the less convincing contact emails I've received. "fwminist" does have a certain Elmer Fudd charm to it, though #amwriting

An email that begins "Hello, I love to to connect with the author" with many grammatical errors and an email address that starts with "fwminist"

What the heck are Microsoft Rewards? On second thought, don't answer... I don't care, I'm just mystified why they think I have a "Microsoft Rewards account" at all

I don't promote my hardcopy editions -- they're more a stealth upgrade (added content and such). So it's a treat when I have a month where they contribute real revenue!

Two days left in the Miss Bennet's Dragon 0.99 sale (US/UK) geni.us/MBD-bsky Wish I had scored the coveted BookBub US Featured Deal promo, but running this new ad which is performing well, so it's all good 😀

Author, are your queries summarily rejected? I have discovered the cause! Agents are busy signing characters from the comics. This is the third one this year

Rex Morgan MD comic strip. The male character's debut book is in a bidding war between publishers. Red markup has changed his dialogue "first novel from an unknown writer" to "...from a comics character"

I really like NetGalley's new consumer site Booktrovert. But when gmail users with Enhanced Safe Browsing enabled click a book link, they get this error. Time to update to https, perhaps? :) @booktrovertcom.bsky.social‬

BookBub is setting up a service to run websites for authors. It's in beta and I just got an invite -- I blurred the url because I can't share it, but hopefully this will become generally available before too long.

Saw Sinners -- wow, what a movie! If you're in the Venn diagram of Blues + Horror, this movie is for you. I'd go again just for the soundtrack (which I'm listening to right now)

Look at what their cancellation form email says! Oh, the irony.

We hope you’ll reconsider the value of the necessary and important work our journalists do to keep citizens informed. Absolutely nothing has changed about that. In fact, it’s more important than ever.

Sadly, in the Washington Post subscription cancelation flow, the "Other" choice does not allow free-form input, so I couldn't write "Because your owner is a dick" #wapo

Interesting Amazon book promo method I haven't encountered before: an email allowing preorder of a free "sneak peak" of an upcoming release. I'm guessing this is only available to trad. I signed up though :) I love Joe Abercrombie

Check out the IPPY award medals! These things are gorgeous ❤️ I had a moment of indie imposter syndrome -- do we deserve nice things? -- but... heck yeah! 😃 Bring on the bling! #amwriting This is the bronze for EMMA'S DRAGON. Congrats to Samantha Shannon and Jes Battis, gold and silver, respectively

May 30 is our 31st wedding anniversary. I always give my beautiful wife roses, but yesterday I somehow miscounted 😄 and gave her 34. Henceforth 34 roses shall be known as a trumpviction of roses

Melissa Etheridge concert last night was AWESOME! There's no video upload here yet, but here's a still from when she teamed up on drums. She spent the entire evening shredding on guitar and singing up a storm. Venue was full of loud love :)

I cannot express how excited I am that Jane Austen is in any way connected to the next season. A photo of my desk may convey it. (the Jane Austen doll was embroidered by my daughter!)
