‘Impossible’ to reopen strait of Hormuz amid ‘flagrant’ ceasefire breaches, Iran says
Iranian forces seize two ships in critical waterway as Washington and Tehran maintain separate blockades * Middle East crisis – live updates Iranian forces have seized two ships in the strait of Hormuz as the US and Iran doubled down on imposing separate blockades of the critical shipping waterway that have choked global energy markets. The standoff over the strait – through which about 20% of the world’s oil and liquefied fossil gas passed through during peacetime – has raised doubts about whether stalled peace negotiations will resume. again, what is interesting to me about this stuff — beyond the obvious fact that what trump wants is propaganda — is that it is grounded in a political theory which holds trump to be the sovereign will of the nation, who can impose his demands on every aspect of the nation's society

So, let me if I've got the straight. Trump wants to turn agencies like FEMA over to our cities and and states. But he wants to take over policing and managing the "squalor" of DC and other cities over. Seeing how ICE, DOD and other agencies are faring, who's going to run all this?

National Parks make $55 billion revenue per year. Due to a $267 million cut in the big ugly bill, they’re currently experiencing chaos with long lines and dirty restrooms. Now foreign tourist are being charged higher prices. That’s how little our admin understands tourism and the economy.

It makes me crazy when they talk about Trump's popular vote victory; yes he did win the highest number of boats: 49.8% of the popular vote. Not even a majority of the population that voted. It was a squeaker of an election. Every time he talks about his Landslide Victory I want to throw up.

i very much agree with @sifill.bsky.social here. the explanation that fits the evidence is that the republicans on the court fully believe in trump's vision of executive power, which itself rests on a claim of sovereignty derived from a spiritual connection to "the people"

An old concrete manure pit with water and pear trees at the bottom, and in the corner can be seen a young magpie. Another sits on the parapet wall surrounding the pit.
