There are so many cool things out there if you're willing to stop and look. The patient dash-and-grab hunting behavior of dragonflies is always so much fun to watch, and a great photo opportunity!

An adult dragonfly -- likely a female blue dasher (Pachydiplax longipennis) -- perched on a stick while hunting insects. Her body has brown and yellow stripes, and her big eyes are a brilliant reddish-brown on a white face.

Mutoraptor is a name I've used to describe my sona's species. They're able to change from a raptor into any bird of prey -- the other raptors. 🎨: @berensreverie.bsky.social

A fluffy gray raptor. Blue stripes lead from the eyes down the back, along with a line of pink in the middle. The tail is tipped with the same pink. The underside from neck to tail is a brighter pink. The wings are blue on the outer shoulder with the remaining surface gray, but this is inverted on the inner surface.

The raptor is running to the left with its mouth happily open.
