Overall Darkwood is EASILY a top 5 horror game for me, and I score it a 9.8/10, thank you Acid Wizard for giving us the average Polish wilderness experience

The art is also amazing, everyone looks unsettling, sometimes to the point where its hard to keep looking. Also had one of the best horror game osts ive heard. The song that plays after surviving a night feels exactly like an RE safe room, and is one of the only tracks that makes you feel secure.

Gameplay is also amazing, with heavy resource and inventory management and punishing combat. It felt like every item you find you need one way or another. And of course the panic of desperately trying to navigate back to your hideout while it gets darker and darker every second is always very tense.

Holy fuck this is one of my favorite survival horror games now. Absolutely fantastic horror that actually had me on edge a good several times (which is very rare for me) with terrifying monsters and a really creepy setting. Evil forests arent rare but this one is definitely the best ive seen.
