Toads have wet and greasy skin so that is why one must use wet gloves if one has to move them. A branch too could cause damage to them. So you were right about its age. By the way, is there a pond nearby?

also, if you have to move it for some reason, wear a pair of gloves and wet them a little, so as not too cause serious damage to its skin. And do not let Blue lick or bite it because of the toxin it will release
