I’m retired and live in Belgium, I’m orginally from God’s Own County. I worked for over 40 years in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, so I can speak Dutch. I like to paint landscapes, cycle and walk my dog. No DMs, I’m too busy stressing about Leeds United!

I’m still happy because we went toe-to-toe with the Champions and played really well. This gives me belief that we can now beat Man Utd next time out. I suppose you on the other hand would rather that we lose that game too?

It’s always been crap which is why I never watch this kind of stuff. Getting “celebrities” to do stuff they’re useless at on prime time tv is only entertaining for a millisecond. There’s hours and hours of this stuff on tv these days which shows the lack of talent and imagination in tv planning.

I think Bruno Guimaraies should put in an entry application for the World Gurning Championships next time round after that goal celebration.

It looks like the designer got the inspiration for this concept while jerking off into a toilet bowl.

The black robin, once down to just a single breeding pair, wins NZ bird of the year
Fondly known as the ‘goth’ of New Zealand’s bird world, the black robin now has a population of 350 adults thanks to a pioneering breeding programme

Tastes change. During that era, English football experienced a phenomenon where top-tier players were treated like pop stars. Currie was at the forefront of this shift alongside other charismatic, long-haired "maverick" footballers of the decade like George Best, Stan Bowles, and Rodney Marsh.

Support our team or hold your counsel. I loathe “fans” who post stuff like this. I’m fed up with your reactive negativity and so I’ve unfollowed you. Feel free to do likewise.

Looking upwards, with hindsight, that point at Brighton was a terrific result for us.

Scoring goals is meaningless if you’re conceding more goals than you’re putting into the net. You still get 0 points.

I’m far from angry I’m having fun as I keep making points you can’t address adequately yet you keep coming back for more. Unlike you I don’t have a thing about size either😉

Adding 5 years to a club history of 120 years doesn’t negate the point I was making, it emphasizes it.

I did state “at that time” that being the Revie era from 1965-1975.

Hiding behind childish emojis and well-worn clichés is about the highest level of debate you can manage, apparently.

Address my points. Firstly apart from a purple patch at the beginning of this century Chelsea was seen as the Millwall of West London, only winning a couple of trophies in their history. In the last 10 years they’ve reverted to type. Where do your fans get the brass neck to claim to be a “Big Club”?

Graham Wood @mushypease.bsky.social · 19/09/2026
The only thought in my head about your club is that the current hierarchy thinks that throwing huge amounts of a cash at a problem wil solve it rather than creating a fan-friendly environment and a team built on team spirit and togetherness.
100
Graham Wood @mushypease.bsky.social · 19/09/2026
Of course he did that was part of the joke, the other being that Chelsea were also a very “dirty” team back in the 60s and 70’s when Leeds was one of the most succesful clubs in Europe. Football history didn’t begin when Roman Abromavich and his stolen loot bought your club.

Graham Wood @mushypease.bsky.social · 19/09/2026
I’m old enough to remember Webb, Osgood, “Chopper” Harris and Ken Bates buying Chelsea for a quid, so methinks the pot is calling the kettle black when it comes to issues like small and dirty clubs.

The Two Minute Hate isn’t confined to the far right these days, I regularly see a lot of hate-filled bile on BlueSky from people who claim to be “progressive liberals”. Hate-fuelled pile-ons on social media platforms have become part of our modern culture, sadly.

Graham Wood @mushypease.bsky.social · 19/09/2026
I have a similar beef with the “Rest is Football”. All they ever talk about are the elite clubs. When we played MU and Liverpool last season all they talked about was Amorim, Carrick and Mo Salah. The word “Leeds” is seldom mentioned, except when we win, then GloryHunting Micah mentions us.

Graham Wood @mushypease.bsky.social · 16/09/2026
The reason football is so expensive and why most clubs are in financial difficulties is entirely down to the greed of the players and the entitled arrogance that this sporting culture has nurtured over the years.

Childhood trauma: I had just learned to read and was reading a book in class about a fox hunting a rabbit. I needed to pee but wanted to finish the story. Having got to the end I went to the teacher to ask to be allowed to go to the toilet but peed in my pants in front of the entire class.

Leeds United deducted 15 points due to excess noise at home games played under lights. Environmental Protection Agency AI noise decectors having registered a 000.1 decibel volume above permitted levels. After appeal, points reduction reduced by AI arbitration to 3 home games with no fans attending.

My dad was a lifelong anti-fascist. He told me tales of him cycling around Yorkshire to help disrupt Black Shirt rallies in the 1930s. He’s been dead for 20 years but he’d be appalled to see that people with a similar ideology whom he fought in the 30s and during the war are making a comeback.

Game management wasn’t the reason we didn’t win that game. If we’d put away the chances we created we would have won. Once the players are fully up to speed I expect improvement. Overall I’m delighted with the results so far and happy about our the state of our club in general.

Last season’s results are a bench mark to be able to determine if the team is progressing so are entirely relevant. You can’t judge a manager soley on the basis of one decision taken during one game, that’s reactive and grossly unfair in my opinion.

In the corresponding 3 fixtures last season we gained 1 point and had a minus 5 goal difference. After 3 games this season we are unbeaten and we have 5 points and +1 Goal Difference. A point away at Brighton is great. We are unbeaten and in 8th place. For some fans the glass is always half empty.🙂

One way that London is nicer than Leeds is because you can travel to the Netherlands faster by train than you can from Leeds and the train service is much more reliable. That says nothing about the merits of the two cities but a lot about the state of the UK infrastructure.

This is “British Mandate Palestine revisited”. The Zionist colonisation of Palestine has been going on for over a century. The tactics now being used in the West Bank are tried and trusted. Comparing this behaviour to Nazi Germany just gives these colonisers an excuse to cry “antisemitism”.

Chelsea? Oh, you mean that lot we duffed up last season at Elland Road and then gave them another spanking in the second half at Stamford Bridge? Why should we be worried about taking on a bunch of prima donna mercenaries playing in a competition that they feel is beneath them?

The are places in the Netherlands that are forever grateful to the brave Canadians who fought their way up from Normandy, through Belgium to help liberate them from 4 years of nazi occupation and help feed them after suffering a terrible winter which lead to many civilains dying of starvation.

I remember the Berlin Wall being built in 1961. I did a drawing of it at school with lots of shooting going on. I’d no idea what it was about but it left a lasting impression on my young mind.

Clip ruined by adding cheesy, sentimental piano music. Totally unnecessary as Sam’s words are enough to move any fan who cares about the club and a great servant to it.

Or possibly Manor Solomon 2.0. Think positive. Buonanotte was a youth player with potential. Mudryk is a seasoned professional who’s highly rated.
