Bit of a bust getting my uncle’s old film developed. Two rolls couldn’t be processed, and only three images on the last one. After mucking about with contrast settings I can kiiiinda make out the car in the second one? Zilch on the first, though.

Been spending time recently trying to chunk through the Naughty Print Dungeon and break things down into smaller pieces. Nippers for little bits, hedge clippers for big! That’s the downside of 3D printing, the waste… The goal is small, remeltable pieces that can be used in silicone molds.

Finally had a chance to visit the creative reuse shop a few towns over and came away with (functionally, for me) a lifetime supply of high grit polishing sandpaper On a related topic…those fancy pen sanders with proprietary refill pads? Double sided tape and scissors. Ya welcome~

Needed a proper base as well. There are some NOTICEABLE divots in the plastic of the table surface from where this beast has been sitting. Two 2x2 squares of .5” ply that’ve been glued together, stained, edge wrapped, and given a cushion of foam padding for movement dampening.

Working on cleaning up my uncle’s funky old framing square tonight Didn’t want to completely erase the patina and wear, but just at least make it tolerable to hold and able to be read… Think I hit that mark! Might try to stain the engraved areas. We’ll see…
