Interested in games (Total War modding ftw). Too sad about the direction of politics, climate change, filled with anxiety about that.

No, Minns is absolutely emblematic of the Australian Labor Party today

Don’t you love seeing a bunch of men armed with assault rifles and Nazi staches walking around. We’ll be seeing Border Force turned into our version of ICE within a few years.

Yeah just like Jeremy Corbyn was a raging antisemite huh. You people will always fall for right wing framing of issues every time. It’s so weak and pathetic.

You’re a self proclaimed “centrist” during a period of time when centrism has caused the worst fall in living standards and rise of fascism in a repeat of the 1930s. You have zero credibility to talk on anything.

Wow as a dedicated former neoliberal politician I’m sure you have the best interests of a socialist greens party at heart.

The Labor party is not “to the left”

Unfortunately there’s an element on the left that think they’re smart and know everything when they actually just come off as snoots and smarmy

You can tell the difference between the boomers and Gen x and younger people because boomers and gen x like to think they’re smart and intelligent when they’re the ones all responsible for the mess were in and younger people are actually principled and not dripping in arrogance.

Why are old people all universally the worst with takes that are always arrogant and on the wrong side? It’s probably something that you grew up with because it’s always old people you see having the worst positions and views exactly like you.

It’s time to accept that the Labor party of 2026 is not a center left “workers” party. It’s a right wing professional managerial liberal party that is ideologically aligned with the Democratic Party establishment. They are at the point of preferring to lose to fascists than work with the left.

Yes rhings in society have absolutely never changed hundreds of years ago society was exactly like it was today. Meanwhile why would the ALP negotiate with progressive independents when they can and do negotiate with the other branch of the uniparty to pass pro corporate policies all the time.

You’re either ignorant or being deliberately dishonest about how lobbying works and how the decisions of a couple of people in the ERC decide the entire federal budget. Either way it destroys any credibility you think you have.

Youre going to quit a party that is he only ones offering to improve politics because of what an objectively true statement that makes you personally uncomfortable a bit because you err identify with Zionism (an ethnostate-supremicisy ideology is the reason why palestians are being slaughtered btw)?

This is a duper weird take for someone who’s normally on the right side of things. Zionism is absolutely an ethnostate-supremacist ideology. It’s super weird of you trying to pro Zionist 3 years into a Zionist caused genocide. No offence.

You know how much the health portfolio spending in Morrison’s final year? $580 billion including $2.4 billion for new funding to increase access to new medicines on the PBS. You know how much Albanese’s first budget increased new PBS funding by? $1.4 billion. And you think Labor is any different.

Yeah and? Scott Morrison introduced guaranteed domestic violence leave, passed a law to ensure the parents of babies that are stillborn were still entitled to unpaid parental leave, gave a statutory right to convert casual employment to full time and improved sexual harassment protections.

In the 2019 post election review they explicitly decided to move away from any type of class based politics or discussion of inequality and the power of billionaire oligarchs. Try to find a single speech from any Labor minister in their entire term where they use the phrase “the big end of town”.

Identity based cognition. For cognitively inflexible people their brain rationalises consistency when it’s confronted with information contrary to what their identity says reality should be. So as reality changes like ALP becoming a right wing party, they rationalise it to protect their identity.

murranji.bsky.social @murranji.bsky.social · 04/10/2026
Hey firedello the HAFF has been in operation for 3 years now? You see any difference? Yeah of course not cause you and your party stand for the status quo dominated by corporate real estate interests and the rich. A literal Democratic Party establishment shill in the Australian context.

Identity driven cognition where their identity is “Labor party” and their brains work to rationalise how and why “Labor good” for identity defence . It means that as the ALP has moved into a center right party their brains focus on how to rationalise right wing corporate policies if Labor does them.

There is genuinely going to be an election soon when Labor preferences the LIberals over the Greens. They have completely become a party of corporations and donors while continuing to lie to their supporters that they are a “left” party. Just like the Democratic Party establishment.

I wish Hasan would speak to one of them when he comes (in the low chance Labor don’t ban him) but the only person that Boy Boy puts him in touch with is the stridently anti-socialist YouTuber Jordan Shanks. Boy Boy and I didn a thing are Sydney based youtubers first, political communists second.

Two things are needed for the Greens primary vote to rise: A far right party like ON to win gov and Labor prove they are playing along when they pass the same pro corporate laws proving they are the Democratic establishment People’s material conditions to fall enough that they look to socialism

murranji.bsky.social @murranji.bsky.social · 30/09/2026
Be honest your cognition is dominated by identity based thinking and your overwhelming identity is loyalty to the Labor party not cause it does anything good but cause it’s a decades old identity you are inflexibly maintaining. That’s why you have no problem with Albo as an aggressive white male.

You know Zohran Mamdani is from the Sanders wing of the party and his administration helped get $130 million in unpaid wages to low paid delivery workers, meanwhile Cuomo is from the Clinton wing of the party and Doordash donated $1 million to help elect him because they knew he would side with them

murranji.bsky.social @murranji.bsky.social · 27/09/2026
How much of your defence of a pro war political party is because you formed your identity and tied it to that party decades ago (as evidenced by all your grey hair) and a cognitive inflexibility that drives you to protect that identity rather than reflect on what he party has become? (All of it)

This what the centrists plan to do - slow walk things with these “reforms” while refusing to abolish it and keeping all the Proud Boys employed, knowing and hoping that they just have to normalize it enough and liberals will accept it.

I mean let’s be honest, 3 years ago you were an Israel supporter because Hillary Clinton is a Zionist and Trudeau never once challenged Israel. Now 3 years into a genocide you at least have the intelligence to see how bad a look it is, while still having undying support for Zionists. Hopeless.

murranji.bsky.social @murranji.bsky.social · 26/09/2026
I mean these people are nominating some of the absolute worst neoliberals who have sold out their countries to the capitalist class as “leaders of the free world”. What can you expect from Gen x and boomer liberals who helped cause all the problems with the world today.

If it’s turned back into some so-called “independent” agency then all Democrats are going to do is ensure they lose out every time. The republicans have already decided they no longer gaf about the DOJ being anything other than a partisan org. That’s not going to stop with the next republican Pres.

2027 is already on track for the lowest food yield in decades, the Californian coast is being eroded by a foot of sea level rise driven by the El Niño. The climate collapse effects are already happening while the billionaire gas owned “workers party” is happy to try ignore it for a few more years.

Do you not like Medicare for all, think that the last 50 years of neoliberalism which has destroyed material conditions, and live former McKinsey consultants? If so the yeah that makes sense. If you want the rich taxed, Israel funding ended, and the power returned to workers, Buttigieg wont do it.

Pete Buttigieg, who after being raised by a father who taught him about class politics and how capitalism allows a rich capitalist class to exploit the workers, chose to become a consultant for McKinsey, implementing the exact type of politics that prevents all the things you have listed.

In China they execute people found guilty of corruption. Notice how you almost never hear about any cases of corruption in China.
