Oh nice. Confused as the map showed middle of North Sea! I was exploring those routes on a map earlier daydreaming about possible trips. Have a lovely time.

What’s the ferry route? Didn’t think UK to Denmark still ran.

Bsky is nice - you can self-verify (bit tech, but straightforward) - you have curated moderation lists (check you trust curator), you follow the lists and if it blocks you don’t see.

Sorry RP, looked hard for the TNC head honcho; but cannot make the dates with the possible venues work - sorry.

Yes, if you have skill, it is OP. How is it anything else? Black flag? Might just be black.

Totally OP, it is built-in teaming.

Nina Wadia is a comedy legend - "Goodness Gracious Me" was fantastic - he move to 'serious' acting was comedy's loss. I think she'd be great on @taskmaster.tv ! And... Janet Ellis too!

It was laughable at the time. Gregory Peck’s version is great

Total pet hate, same for languages. I don’t mind someone not knowing a thing; but if presenting on a thing that you don’t know, taking an interest is a better tack

Actually, determining AI generation is a solved problem (if the LLM watermarks) - a tougher problem if the LLM doesn’t, but still easier that “evaluating truth of arbitrary statement” Here’s the watermark thing: youtu.be/kVXp6UNVPTo?...

Josh was fine, the “celebs” were…. Essentially anonymous (with Olympic exceptions). And that musical chairs dance partner thing was odd

But @cineworld.bsky.social have not posted since april 2025. Why bother? If they don’t sort it fast, I have solutions, to the north, Vue, to the west (near work) an Odeon. North west is Ambassadors, south east is a new Reels. Get yourselves sorted.

The new @cineworld.bsky.social app is shhh…ockingly poor. I cannot even book for my wife and me with unlimited. Book mine, not hers.

That woman positively mounted that dancer, get a room! Is it always this bad? #strictly

Murk @murky.org · 19/09/2026
Wow, had a look at strictly for the first time in years - aside from Widdecombe, I think I recognised just over one of the “celebs”. (Sarah Storey and I nearly got the dog person). They are really stretching the definition of celeb as far as I’m concerned.

That's not to say I won't get into a debate - but I try and keep it the exception.... and usually where stakes are lower, e.g. physicsy stuff (but flat Earthers get blocked on sight, though I have a lot of patience for 'how do we know X' .... e.g. distance to moon)

.... As a result, I'm finding it quite a pleasant place.... and so, thanks to you, and the other people I follow, for making it that way. (There are some folk who have moved away from bsky and are instagram focussed - I've never quite felt at home on the 'grams)

After the shitshow of twitter, I am very careful in what I see here. I block keywords (yes, if you use a certain term that begins with T for farting, I won't see it) - and if I cannot block someone's bad vibes hobbyhorse due it not being easily keyworded away, then the account goes away.....

If you ever did Stargate, the Furlings would be top tier. (and for Babylon 5, it'd be the Drazi (I want more on the history of the Green/Purple thing..... it's no way to run a society! ) )

If it did go to him, he didn’t get a heads up, being a fly on the wall when they asked for those texts would have been fun. But, Greg is an actor, still feasible for texting production. It’d be nice to know! And its plausible they gave him a burner (or could read your burner)

Ah, it's that time of year again - when I get to look up the 'restore' candidates for national trust and make sure I vote for literally anybody else.

Murk @murky.org · 14/09/2026
I did wonder at the time if he was given a heads up - or if you also were texting production - because if not, I would have blocked that number losing the texts. Little bits of logistics like that I find somehow of interest, even if the truth is mundane.

@flexibits.com i have a calendar with a few hundred events, all with alerts. I could disable alerts for the whole calendar, but that would mute other events too. I could craft a search to find (or exclude) events with certain characteristics - and then bulk edit….

Well, I’ve discovered that you and I have diametrically opposite feelings on both Soaps and Puppets! I thought the melodrama thing played like a “fun run” that got out of hand. Nevertheless, that you felt the need to tell people off before ups and downs was… people can suck

Hiring someone clueless : “you want me to what? Oh Be a coach? Right.” Addressing him as he wants to be addressed. And “coach” isn’t that weird. And in so many other things, they did not shy from UK slang, that was the whole bit of the show
