Dejected were the support band and they did a cover of a Nailbomb song which was a treat!

The Indestructibles playing at Barrow Underground Music Society last night. Been quite a while since a punk band last played in my local area 🙂

If they stick with this set list for the UK part of the tour then I'm going to be ecstatic. It's over 6 months away yet though. I must not get excited yet....

Yesterday was probably the last camping trip of the year 😪 Paddleboarding on a choppy as fuck Coniston Water, went to all the pubs in the village, had a chippy tea then beers and good music by the camp fire.

I'm pretty tempted. Haven't been to MPF for a few years so I'm overdue going. Accommodation will be extortionate over the Easter weekend I imagine though...dilemmas!

Very pleasant surprise to see No Comply are making a comback for Manchester Punk festival next year. Must be 20 or more years since they called it a day. The 'Your Life Is Your Direction' EP from back in the day is still one of my favorites. Hope they do a run of gigs and it's not just a one off!

Definitely worth checking out. Half of the songs sound like you'd expect them to sound and they other half maybe not quite so much. Not in a bad way though!

Couple of recent additions to the vinyl collection. Ruts DC - Bound In Blood 10" EP and the latest release from Hard-Ons featuring Jerry A of Poison Idea fame on vocals.

A very calm and peaceful Beacon Tarn this morning. Went up there bright an early for a quick swim. Not a bad way to start the day!

Skint Knees were ace at Rebellion. Certainly a band I'll be looking to go and see again in future. This is worth a read.

I caught their set at Rebellion and it was definitely one of the highlights for me. Hadn't seen them before but I'll definitely be looking to go and see them again.

Went to see Ruts Dc playing at The Ferret in Preston last night. Great little venue, can't believe I haven't been there before. Ruts DC were on great form as always. Department S were the support band and they were pretty good too.

Yesterday's camping trip at Turner Hall. Hotter than expected so I couldn't resist a dip in the river!

All set for a nice relaxing day and night at Turner Hall campsite. Much needed after last weekends fun and games at Rebellion 🍺🏕

Nice to bump into my old buddy Carol Hodge at Rebellion. Known each other side we were teenagers in the late 90s and its been cool to see her progress from various local bands back then to doing the Crass thing with Steve Ignorant all over the world now. Not to mention her solo work too.

I did a worse than ever job of taking pictures though! Barely took any.

Well Rebellion was fantastic and exhausting as it normally is. No idea how many bands I saw over the 4 days, but it was lots! A good mix of great new discoveries and old favorites. Highlights for me were Smoking Fingers, Grail Guard, Yakkie, The Jungles, Skint Knees, The Gakk, Spunk and The Restarts

Murf @murfio.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

Great as always cheers! So many good bands throughout the weekend. Very much wishing I'd booked today off work right now! Did you have a good one?

Murf @murfio.bsky.social · 07/08/2026

Caught their last few songs and they sounded great

Rebellion so far. Pre 11am pint (bad move), Rebellion Festival flag on top of Blackpool Tower, Smoking Fingers (contenders for best band of the weekend already!) and shit loads of pigeons next to my accommodation 🐦

First attempt at paddleboarding today. Very enjoyable although I didn't manage to stand up on it because it was windy and the water was choppy as fuck on Windermere. Still plenty of fun sat down. Next time!

First festival of the year tomorrow! Feels like it's been ages since I last went to a proper outdoor festival. Think Bearded Theory 2024 might have been the last one. Looking forward to going slightly feral 😼

FINALLY got to give the new Olivia Rodrigo album a spin. It's been absolute torture having it sat in the house since it was released last Friday but I've not had any spare time to listen to records until today. Amazing emotional roller coaster of an album. Very different to her previous 2 albums.

Some bits and bobs from Skunk Anansie and Garbage last night. Really enjoyed that gig. Cool to see both bands still going strong and both with plenty of important things to say. Enjoyed the support band Du Blonde too.
