Did you know that every mac has a built-in remote desktop support tool? With built-in "Screen Sharing" app, you can connect to any mac around the world with its Apple Account email (of course with their approval). Very practical for quick support.

I'm upset to learn that my 3 years old Apple Watch Ultra will not get the next OS update. This can be the shortest lifetime of software updates for an Apple device. :/

After years of back and forth, I decided to give a serious try to Obsidian. I loved how it leverages Markdown frontmatter as searchable "properties". I'm planning continue to use Apple Notes for daily notes and Obsidian for structural ones.

When I saw WhatsApp’s interoperability notification with third-party applications today, I was happy for a moment. However, when I looked at the implementation details, it seems that this too will be Meta’s new data collection tool. Why are WhatsApp servers at the center?

Flow diagram shows how 3rd party messaging aps will "interop" with WhatsApp. Basically, after a handshake, 3rd party app clients communicates directly with WhatsApp servers.

calculateBillingCycle function handles edge cases with specific date definitions used in unit tests, to just pass the test.

I’m not sure why, but with each passing day, I see more and more issues with continuity features in Apple’s ecosystem. AirDrop, AirPlay, keyboard sharing, parental controls... everything seems increasingly unstable. I hope Apple is aware of these issues and takes action to address them.

Macos error alert says it can not connect to iPhone Personal Hotspot.

I'm having so much fun of #PWA support on Safari so far. Adding Bluesky to dock works perfectly. I use elk.zone for #Mastodon and #HomeAssistant as PWA as well. Interestingly, docking Home Assistant web page works even better than official Home Assistant app.

I'm not sure but probably it was around 40 tabs. Because I use the setting to automatically close tabs after 1 day. Otherwise tabs live there forever 😃 I think some of the websites were eating so much memory. Web rendering engines need to make a significant leap forward in terms of memory usage.
