But to realize these benefits we need to generate more money than the existing $322M deficit and improve service. Bus lines like the 49 Van Ness are packed leaving San Franciscans on the curb. There is clearly a demand for Muni - but service needs to grow to meet it.

In the years after the pandemic San Franciscans have seen record inflation, their bus lines cut, fares increased and commutes prolonged. Our proposal would be fairly funded and generate over $260 million. When combined with the regional measure it would be enough to grow service.
