🎶 I'm still standing 🎶 after watching both Agatha All Along and Arcane in the same few weeks... it's fine... it's cool... (idk how I'm still standing) #Arcane #AgathaAllAlong

Goodreads is owned by Jeff Bezos. A better alternative is StoryGraph, a Black woman-owned platform. And before y’all start, you can transfer all your Goodreads data to Storygraph so you literally have no excuse.

The Handmaid's Tale is a good book. But did you know that there's a book written by a Black woman about a post-apocalyptic Earth heavily affected by climate change and societal decline. The book was published in 1993, but is set in 2024 following a presidential election 👀 #BookSky #BlackBookSky

People of Bluesky! Let's get to know each other better. What's your favorite movie? 💛 Quote share your answer only in GIF form. "You can never do anything by half. Do you understand that?" 🥹 p.s. ya know how they say something "has heart"? this does. it means everything to me and then some. <3

If anyone’s looking for alternatives to GoodReads, I highly recommend StoryGraph. It’s owned by a black woman, and the platform is so much more accessible and easy to use.

Speaking as an anthropologist, I would strongly, STRONGLY advise you to start preserving physical media of things that are important to you, especially racially or queer focused media. That means physical books, physical DVDs, and digital files stored locally.
