Lightning greaves in a deck that needs the commander to function properly is decent, dark ritual can help in combo strategies, and faithless looting is a solid option in anything that likes the grave or in mono red. Overplayed? Perhaps, but still strong

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, my dad’s into mushrooms, I think they don’t taste of anything? Also, apparently only edible when young, anyone who sees this do your research folks, lot of mushrooms are very risky to mess around with food wise.

The trouble is they’re trying to appease as many people as possible, but they won’t drop the set numbers down, so the only solution is to make it so not everyone gets to play with their favourite characters as commanders, and that’s doesn’t sound great either.

Dunno if this is relevant in any way, the hobbit scene boxes still haven’t made it to stores in Europe, I’ve been waiting on mine that I ordered in July, and as of last week there’s been no changes. I have to assume it’s a similar situation.

The purposed banning of original duals and printing of these seems like the best solution. Sadly for better or worse, mana bases will become much more consistent with time, mono colour decks will always have their niches at least. Maybe we need more basics payoffs to help.

Minish cap is such a good game, some amazing music tracks too. I recently learned (I might have done this years ago and forgot) there’s a special shield you can only get after beating the game, which has me tempted to play it again just to see it

The problem I have with this card is it reads “hexproof, cannot be damaged by non combat sources target player loses the game” too often. For better or worse; my playgroup doesn’t do rule 0/brackets, and i have tried, and one person really wants this card. I’m not saying it’s good; but unfun.

I fear it is, but it never should be. This is the type of reason the collectors market is bad for the game imo, well that and people fighting outside smyths toy shops (I recall a video of it earlier this year) the Amsterdam art gallery situation was where I think it started to become a real problem.

Same, I get to play once a week, and it’s commander or bust. We also don’t really seem to do rule 0. When I got into the game over a decade ago, we did kitchen table four player magic, some of the most fun I’ve had in life let alone magic.

I think it’s great in a lifegain strategy, and a useful card if you can fit it otherwise, but by no means should this one card be anyone’s only gameplan, that sounds wild.

It’s so frustrating, I had some lovely art commissioned by Dena years back that I still cherish, and one I did on Skeb I similarly love. But with the latter, I can’t use that service anymore with confidence, I feel like we now have to do so much more due diligence, it’s made online life worse.

It might be me justifying it, but i see it as the imperfection of Jace. He wants things to be different, and as we see they’re almost always worse off for it. Reading through the lore of each echo, it’s clear it goes back a very long time, so the effects it has make sense that way at least.
