Good report by @jcmccaffrey.bsky.social, but post-2018 Sox seem to reach an "inflection point" annually "Tracy and Breslow will surely be here next year. Who else will join them remains uncertain, in an organization that has reached a clear inflection point with players calling out decision-makers"

While it was incredible at the time, the 5 or 6 weeks the #RedSox were unbeatable obscures fact this was a mediocre team that had a mediocre season 2026 Sox won fewer regular season & playoff games than 2025 team…and problems with offensive production at end of 2025 are still there at end of 2026 😔

Good recovery there by Sonny Gray after giving up the Garcia Jr solo shot. Unfortunately, trailing 1-0 seems a monumental challenge for the current #RedSox offense.

Shame used to be a thing in American public life An act of mendacious buffoonery like Sen Schmitt’s today would result in shame The individual would feel it and society would expect a consequence and some kind of contrition Our society is poorer since shame now plays little role in public life

#Redsox pitching continues to be strong, but bats stay cold and Sox drop finale to Guardians 1-0. Sox have only score 5 total runs over their last 5 games. A win would have secured 5th seed, but now still a chance they could slip to 6th (which given prospective opponent, may not be all bad)
