Thank you so much for the kind offer. Sadly I won’t be able to read the Dutch well enough, but I appreciate the offer very much.

Aww thanks so much! I thought the green one would be my favorite. But I fell in love with the chocolate one. I’m keeping that one!

So cute! Do you have a pattern for these?

This weeks #showmeyourknits is textured stitches. I’m working on a really pretty pattern but I’m working on the short row neck shaping rn so haven’t gotten to the textures yet. So here’s a throwback I don’t think I’ve posted. #knithats 🧶

I like sleeves. But I’ve also added sleeves to a tank top pattern if the shoulder/armhole area isn’t cut too narrow.

I like Likke brands. They’re durable. Mine has a clamp but they may have table top models.

I haven’t been able to find her on IG or Ravelry. So I’m wondering if she is not selling patterns any longer? IDK. It’s too bad bec she’s a great teacher with a very body positive philosophy in her designs for all genders.

I used to love bust darts. It was really deflating when on my last piece the formula said I didn’t need them anymore. I’ll be very disappointed if you ask me if that pun was intended or not. 😄

But the darned IG algo keeps unfollowing people I follow without my knowledge. I’m having trouble finding her. I thought you enjoy her tutorials and a scroll through her patterns. One of many reasoned I hate algorithm driven platforms.

Yes. That’s why I love knit SM. There are so many ways to get a tailor made fit and different techniques are more useful for some than others. None work for every body. I was trying to find an LGBTQ designer fir you that does a lot of tracing on techniques for fit for different bodies & in patterns

I see. I’m cis gender but much wider in the shoulder than most women. It’s simply the way my mom’s family evolved over time. It’s a holdover from when they hunted, they being everyone. It’s wasn’t a gender specific activity. So I always had trouble getting a good shoulder fit.

Mullaneygem @mullaneygem.bsky.social · 18/06/2026
Was that the under the shoulder-as in upper bust measurement? Basically the smallest part of the chest at the arm pits (USA term). It’s not the peak if the chest measurement where it’s largest. I might be wrong but if it is it gives a good guide for well fitting shoulders.

Leaflette scarf/shawl by Lete on Ravelry. I took it a few days ago. I still have half the back and the creasing side to go. So I won’t post more updates for a few weeks. #knits 🧣🧶

Exactly. I was offered a job making hand knits by the owner of a niche clothing store. He was going to sell them for $700 but offered me $250. They’re sold to well to do people. I wasn’t interested in that kind of pressure in my knitting. But if you can do one in a day (I can’t) you can make some ££

I don’t think they fit as huge as they look. The widest part is the brim and that has the inside layer underneath. Folded its four layers. Haven’t heard if a sizing issue with it for adults.

#showmeyourknits What’s on your needles? First I was stuck, then I had 3 half leaves and two hole then I had 4 & 3, then I had to tear out 2 days work. Now I’ve reknit it w/ the lifelines I should placed to start. Doh! 🤦🏻‍♀️ 🧶🧣 Never knit in the deep end without your lifeline. 😏

Yes 6 sts per side, so 12 total. That wasn’t what had me stuck. But I finally figured it out and I’m feeling more comfortable with it. I was just about to post an update. I so love a lace motif.

repeat them because it would not create the lace in the pattern. It would have to be repeated in reverse. Nothing in instructions about this. Been on a forced knitting hiatus since Sept 25 & was so excited to knit again. Killing my will to live here. HELP! So miffed!

#shiwmeyourknits What’s on your needles? Mine have 16 sts of oatmeal lace yarn selected for a shawl. The beginning is set, time to start the first row of the lace. This throws you to chart only. The cart has 1/2 the sts of the row I’m working with not count the edges. It won’t work to…

I was just saying to my knitting group how much I love all the pretty vivacious colors in yarns but when I knit for myself it’s mostly neutrals colors. I make exceptions for socks & hats. But I don’t tend to wear busy clothes day to day. I gravitate toward sooting colors for everyday

If you have a matching gauge in length in a fixed needle set go with that. Once you get an inch or so on there it won’t be such an annoying issue. But if you do have to restart use a silicone knitter’s tube hold under your needle as you cast on so you won’t loose stitches.
