Big Walk genuinely took me by surprise and is in a category of games that had an impact on me. It stands with undertale and Outer Wilds for making me tear up. It's been a week now and I'm still thinking about my experience. All these games convey an emotion that can only be experienced once.

For me it was Future Cop: LAPD. I had already been a pretty avid gamer from as early as like... 4 playing Sonic on the Megadrive. Future Cop was the first game I was actually obsessed with. I dreamt about it. I rented it so much that I told my mum "we would have paid for it in rentals alone" lol

One thing I was never prepared for about aging was getting to the stage where other legal adults feel "too young" to consider dating. Like obvious in hindsight but when I was in my 20s I thought anything with anyone anywhere was fair game because "I'm an adult now". Kind of an age culture shock.

I had this idea from reading the elizabeth holmes mouse post and then I couldn't do anything else until i painted the idea to completion

It is a cartoon mouse, like Jerry from Tom and Jerry, shaped like a wedge of cheese presumably because it has eaten a wedge of cheese. The mouse has Elizabeth Holmes' face. The mouse is saying "Why would I deceive you? There's no reason for me to do that."

And finally reshade is a MASSIVE help. I ain't paying for Photoshop but the average photographer would kill to have the tools reshade lets you have. Editing after the fact is manipulating pixels, reshade is modifying the rendering pipeline directly, so it's incredibly powerful for adding style.

A lot of GPosers go crazy with effects, dutch angles, custom mods. If that's you're taste that's fine. Just remember that as with a lot of aesthetics, less is more. Some of my best GPoses have just been basic portraits with a nice setting, lighting, subtle bokeh & just posing in a certain direction.

I can't claim to be an expert and I still have a lot to learn but; learn the fundamentals of photography if you want truly beautiful pictures. Rule of thirds, golden ratio, proper bokeh, framing, three point lighting and much more. The nice thing about learning photography is it's kind of intuitive.

I know it sucks for anyone who grinded previous expansions but it's been over a decade in some cases. A small handful of new and old players might go back and do one old relic, but I bet a large number would run old content if they knew it unlocked them all.

#FFXIV hot take but I feel like old content could become more relevant again if the devs re-worked the old relics to behave the same way as the DT relic system. Do the grind for once, use weekly currency to buy the rest. People would spend more time in previous expansion content.
