Buried in the papers for yesterday's Housing Scrutiny Committee was this table showing where Aspire's Mayor Lutfur Rahman is planning to build new homes. Site 6 refers to the Chisenhale Art Place. This suggests Chisenhale Gallery and Chisenhale Dance Studios will be evicted to make way for 52 flats

Great decision by Tower Hamlets Labour's Cllr Siraj Islam. The Bonfire Night fireworks were the upside to local residents of disruption from commercial events in Victoria Park. To have events, but no fireworks was wrong. Tower Hamlets Council should do more like this to strengthen community cohesion

5 years on since the murder of George Floyd, and the Black Lives Matter movement that followed, it may feel like the world hasn’t changed. Progress is never a straight line and now, more than ever, don’t forget the power of unity.
