A mod came out that opened a lot of discussion about this body type for NiGHTS. I wanted to give it an earnest go, in an androgynous afab kind of way #NiGHTSintodreams

So i watched Sonic Underground 🎵

collage illustration of sonic and tails walking past posters on the street for Sonic Underground. in the middle is a poster of a green and pink hedgehog with the title "Mania Underground." with "Mania" written over "Sonic". Mimicking early Archie comics is a bar on the top left corner with the publisher TARO, a chaos emerald for price and cartoonish retro sonic underground. The green hedgehog is dressed in punk fashion, and the pink hedgehog is playing on a musical keyboard. This poster is imposed over an edited photo of a city street. On the left, Sonic the hedgehog is walking past the posters. far left is a poster of Sonia alone. The title reads Sonia instead of Mania.
Sonic is humming the theme song.
On the right, Tails stops to look at the posters. far right is a poster of manic alone. The title reads "Manic."
Tails speech bubble reads "woah sonic! My fave y2k anarchist rock band is in town."

Screenshot redraws from Sonic underground.
Left: flat mono-colored and lined drawing of sonic annoying manic.
Middle: Digitally painted illustration of a brown/red eyed sonic. He is sitting with a cheeky smile. He is wearing his guitar medallion, red and blue wrappings on his legs and arms and his shoes are scuffy.
Right: sketchbook drawing of Manic cowering behind his big sister Sonia.

I miss Manic Underground

Pencil on paper (black and white) drawing of Sonic poking his sibling Manic from the show Sonic Underground. Manic looks tired of him while sonic looks like a proud nuisance. Both characters have modernized designs from the source content.

Sassy frame from the show Sonic Underground. Sonic, right, blue with red sneakers. Manic, left, green with orange vest and shoes.
