I bought the Starter set for D&D 5.5, and it’s labeled like any other board game. But that “+” is doing a loooot of work.
Detail from 2024 D&D Starter Set box. 3 icons labeled “cooperative play”, “3-5 players”, and “45+ min playtime”.

Saw some blue jays building a nest in a tree outside the kitchen window last week, and I worried the storm (or a crow) might have ruined it. No! Found the right angle for it yesterday. One mama Jay butt.

Despite his late days, he would often toddle about the house in search of warmth and treats (even though he had all that and more at home.) I’m not sure Pumpkin understands.

Sad news, as Phoebe, our white-face cockatiel (right) did not make it through the night. He’d been struggling with arthritis and a fatty lump on this right chest for several years, and seemed to have had some left-side nerve damage since before we ever brought him home. His last day was happy.
Two cockatiels atop a bird cage. Left, a lutino staring expectantly at the camera (Pumpkin); right, a white-face with his head stuffed as far as he can into a lampshade (Phoebe).

And what, according to CNN, did he say one minute before his assassination?
CNN US:

Audience member: "Do you know how many transgender Americans have been mass shooters over the last 10 years?"
Kirk: "Too many."
The same audience member went on say the number is five, and proceeded to ask if Kirk knows how many mass shooters there have been in America
over the last 10 years.
Kirk: "Counting or not counting gang violence?"
Seconds later, the sound of a pop is heard and the crowd screams as Kirk gets shot and recoils in his seat.

You’ve seen rain though, right? So, clearly the fox succeeded.
The text conveys a tale of how the Sumerian storm god Ishkur was trapped in the netherworld, causing chaos on earth due to the lack of rain. Ishkur’s father Enlil, the king of the gods, summons a divine assembly and asks one of the gathered deities to retrieve Ishkur. No gods volunteer, but, surprisingly, a lone fox does. The fox slyly enters and maneuvers through the underworld on its journey, but the broken tablet unfortunately ends the narrative. Until other, more complete tablets are found that record the same myth, scholars may never know whether the fox successfully completed its mission.

@bobchipman.bsky.social I don’t want to give this any more air, but this post you reshared is absolute hogwash. For one, votes aren’t transmitted over cell networks in real time. The expert they cite is a real person, but his research makes no claims like these—he talks about bomb threats in Philly.
A post from Common Coalition making false claims about election manipulation in 2024.

In popular culture
edit
In 1998, the palace was a filming location for Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, specifically as the interior of the Theed City Naboo Palace. It was used as a location for four days after it had been closed to visitors. Scenes with explosions were filmed on replica sets in Leavesden Studios in England to avoid damaging the actual palace. In addition, scenes from Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones were also filmed at the palace, specifically in the Upper Vestibule.[26]
The Royal Palace of Caserta has also been the site of other notable films and television series, such as The Great, Mission: Impossible III, Angels & Demons, Kaos, Conclave, and Ferdinando and Carolina among others.[27]

Wow, this $20 is stamped with jury nullification propaganda (complimentary)!
The backside of a US $20. It’s been stamped with the words “Each juror has the power and obligation to vote _not_guilty_ to prevent conviction if they feel the law is unjust.”

4, I guess? Accessibility Shortcut You can choose an accessibility option to turn on and off by triple-tapping the side button. I’m using it with color filter to toggle my “night-mode.” Mid-day nap? Tap tap tap! Don’t want to wake your partner with light? Tap tap tap!
iPhone Settings > Accessibility menu. “Accessibility Shortcut” is highlighted.

3. Color Filters Lots of filters to assist with color blindness, but I use it in lieu of a nightshift mode, with a 100% red filter. Great for star gazing or… black & photography? And easier to control than nightshift because…

2. Back Tap. You can pick from a HUGE list of things to happen when you double- or triple-tap on the back of the phone. Or both! (If you use a case, you have to tap pretty hard.) I set mine to rotation-lock, because I swear they move that functionality every week and I’m sick of hunting it down.
iPhone Settings > Accessibility > Touch menu. “Back Tap” is highlighted.

1. LED Flash for Alerts. This is the one I’ve been using the longest. It just flashes the LED when you get an alert. Great if you leave your phone on silent all the time, or just place it face-down. And since the LED was originally for a camera flash, it is BRIGHT.
iPhone Settings > Accessibility > Audio & Visual menu. “LED Flash for Alerts” is highlighted.
