The fact that I paid $230 for 32GB of DDR4 SODIMM is mind boggling... That's the one regret I have with these Mini PCs, the RAM was cheap and died after a year or 2. Wish I did the bare-bones units and got Crucial RAM before it was just erased from existence

It is so sad when big companies buy smaller companies, and completely ruin them... Case and point: Multiple food and beverage companies. Built on home-style, organic. They get popular, they get bought, and the ingredients are changed to GMO, High-Fructose Corn Syrup to save money. The quality […]

I refuse to bend my use-case around tools. You should build the tools around your use-case. Somewhere along the way, folks have lost this ability. This is why I like GitLab. The flexibility of the CI pipelines, integration with your repo (test report UI) is unbeatable

AI makes tasks easier, it is not magic though, Without direction, it will do the least amount possible to get to the end goal. A proper plan, and checks throughout the process (security, tests) needs to be implemented for production ready code.

My goal in life is to work as hard as I can for as long as I can (within reason) so that I can retire early, and buy/build a small farm. After all these years in tech, it has made me appreciate the smaller things in life, like raising livestock and crops. Lets hope I can get there

Someone please stop me... I took AI a little too far now... Think of Jarvis, but with Docker. Jarvis can spin up docker containers, spawn agents in them, and they have their own isolated workspaces. These agents can write "tools" to better assist the user. A "brain" (basically just MD files) […]

I added workspace preview images to Cove. It refreshes only on the client-side and just helps you keep track of what you have open in those workspaces. An initial screenshot is taken at container startup, and used as a health check for the workspace.
Screenshot of the new preview window on top of the cove "workspace" cards that shows a preview of the screen in the workspace.

Best thing about using Cove (and Kasm for that matter): I can open a workspace at my desk. I can then move downstairs to my shop, and open the same workspace without losing anything. I've done this for 3D prints, schematics, and even videos I was watching and want to continue in the shop.
