A few weeks ago I made a post about using dried flowers for the first time with my nature impressions work. Here a few of the results. I didn’t fire all the work from that batch, because I wanted to see how they turned out before glazing and firing them all. Thoughts? Suggestions?

What a hard week for empaths in this country who believe in human rights for all and the First Amendment, eh?! Well, when I pulled this one out of the kiln it made me smile a little, so I wanted to share a little rustic rainbow love with you all, too. ✌️ 🌈 ✊

Feeling very grateful and privileged for the reciprocity we can practice and cultivate here, and having this space to practice self care to help balance all the chaos and hate🙏☺️ #reciprocity #farmstead #homesteads #gratitude #michiganhomestead #selfcare

I know there are many reasons for this, but when the “norm” in our society is to create a sterile environment where you live then we are destroying the diversity of life on Earth. Everyone of us can provide a bit more habitat for life regardless if you have 50 acres or an apartment patio.

And then I hear folks say things about not seeing lightning bugs or bees or birds or _____ “like they used to” as if they are shocked by this?!

Finding peace, joy, and so much life here on the farmstead refuge the past few weeks! When I drive by the majority of homes and see manicured lawns with nothing but grass, the void of life makes me sad.

I’ll have these pints, some wine and spirit tumblers, and some beer steins (or for lots of coffee the next morning😅) ready to hold your beverage at the festival (and beyond of course) because wouldn’t you rather be drinking out of one of these instead of a plastic cup?!

Please call your reps to demand they look at the details of the recently passed House version of the “One Big, Disastrous Bill” and remove all the parts that will give America its first dictator. Read it yourself if you’re curious what I’m talking about. See you Saturday… ✌️ 🌈 ✌️

Their staggered bloom times has given me a bit longer time window to work with these hardy beauties this year! Who else loves purple and green together?!

Hello! Here are few pieces from my most recent #grapehyacinth collection. One thing we did last fall was plant these bulbs in a variety of places scattered about in areas that receive varying amounts of sunlight.

Planted #asparagus last spring so I’m excited to see them emerging this year!! Well let them all go again without harvesting them, but maybe next year we’ll cut a few. Aren’t they so cool coming out of the ground like this!?! #farmstead #regenerativeagriculture #sustainablefarming #organic

One thing keeping me somewhat grounded while the coup is replacing our #democracy with #fascism has been the hatching of #paintedturtles in our yard! So far we've helped 32 to the pond! We even saw 4 emerge from the ground. It’s been truly special. Enjoy the compilation. More to come. #natureheals

Even with instability, rights being stripped, and lives being destroyed by fascist policies, the cycles of Nature continue. Yes, the #climatecrisis impacts these cycles, but I still find peace and comfort in them. And #rhubarb is so dang pretty AND tasty! Daydreaming about rhubarb mojitos☀️😎 #farming

My little #pine mug forest from the last firing😁 As the seasons shift I’ll be transitioning from pines to flowers! Since I use real foliage, flowers, etc, my nature imprint work evolves with the seasons. Each piece is truly one of a kind. #natureart #natureheals #mugs #ceramicmugs #pottery #clay
