I’ve been designing and building paddles. I’ve downsized each time and have ended on one that is 7.8oz which is less than 4 large eggs. Soon I test and it might fall apart—which would still be a fun pushing of the envelope.

I decided not to exclude this cedar knot from my canoe paddle blade. It was once the foundation of a branch that reached out to support the growth of the entire tree. It helped the rest of the wood grow strong.
