ToLWeb was my very first project tied to bioinformatics, only possible because @bembidion.bsky.social let me work on it despite clearly insufficient experience. It's awesome to see the site working again. Those trees were a labor of love for a newbie to the field.

This is fabulous news, Joe has had a huge influence on phylogenetics. As an undergraduate I spent a small fortune on a computer that ran CP/M and Turbo Pascal, just so that I could compile PHYLIP from Joe's Pascal source code. It was a revelation. I discovered "recursion"... it felt like magic.
