I'd planned from early on to have two versions of this logo for @scrobins.bsky.social: a more complex and a simpler one. I only, just today, finished up the alternate one. Super excited for everything we're gonna do with these.

The words HOME BREW are spelled out, with each letter modeled after a video game cartridge, with exaggerated cart pins visible.

The same design, except the letters are seen straight on, no pins visible, and in a slightly different position.

Lots of research into cartridge types, and pages of these as I tried to see what aspects of each cart to use, how much to abstract it, and what letters to assign them to. Turned out way better than it would have otherwise due to a bunch of great feedback from @supernatetendo.bsky.social as well.

I recently fell in love with its Famicom art. The line weight. The colored lines for the wall. That dopey gargoyle, the little dragon way off in the back chasing off a croc or something? That super detailed capricon relief, the extreme perspective. Just gorgeous, and way extra for such a small box.

A ridiculous amount of hijinks (20+ creatures total?) is unfolding as the youthful mage crouches atop one of many blocks, a gust of wind blowing from their wand. But who's the baddie here? All these critters or the intruder stealing(?) their key? ^^

A lovely aspect of Bug Hunter is how each day can be played entirely in one's head (omitting 2 of its 40+ modules), offering the same kind of shareable experience as newspaper chess or tsumego puzzles. As a result, I've probably clocked as many hours playing shared screenshots as I have in-game.

More American than the product of this "Burger like American" campaign?

A promotional image for the Korean convenience store CU's "S'more burger." It comes in a pouch, intended to be microwaved, and is constructed of a burger patty, slice of processed cheese, chocolate "jam", chocolate syrup, and jumbo marshmallows, all inside an English muffin. The tagline, in hangul, reads "Burger like American" and additional Korean text translates to "It's like a milkshake and burger in one bite."

The kid and I painted these today. She made every aesthetic choice. I filled in big areas with colors I was given. Afterward, she described them. This is "a sunset." I know the one from a few weeks ago it clearly is. It had already gotten dark with a low, orange glow just behind the mountains.
